I remember delivering freight to reinhart on multiple occasions. wonder what they did with it ? lol
Now as for what to wear not many otr truckers will be able to comment on this, because most of us havnt been on an actual interview for our entire career's. You see they already have are life history, work history, criminal history ,driving history and hire right history and urine/dna what else do they want ..
We have nothing left for them.
I would go with what other posters said and be ready for work or stand out wear a full clown suit with face paint . -
At a minimum, go with a dress shirt and a pair of dress pants. If you want to be very safe, then go with the traditional suit and tie for the interview.
Generally when I have done interviews for truck drivers, they usually have worn a dress shirt and khakis...this works just fine, too. As long as you don't show up in jeans and a t-shirt like one guy interviewing for a desk job did, you will be just fine. -

I prefer going naked to an interview as it leaves a lasting impression.
QuietMike Thanks this. -
While going in shorts and flip flops would certainly leave a lasting impression, I come from the "old school" way of doing things and I don't care if you are applying for a job as a garbageman, you dress up for an interview with at least a shirt and tie.
DocWatson Thanks this. -
Your looking to hire a model go to hollywood or nyc.
Companies are paying for a service not a fashion show ..
High school popularity mindset's are for kids.. -
trucking interview? No, you wear what you would wear working. This means a NICE pair of jeans (no holes and preferably no grease stains), work boots (at the very least close toed shoes), and a nice button down or polo style shirt. Dress nicely, but don't over dress for the occasion.
If that fails then before leaving jump on the desk drop, your jeans , and yell "helicopter, helicopter" as you swing it around hula-hoop style.dirtyjerz, Mastertech, DealBreaker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Nothing wrong with a nice polo, dark jeans and boots.
No baseball hats!! -
I show up ready to go to work. Jeans, work boots, work appropriate shirt. If the company has a specific uniform I'll wear it during the work shift, but I prefer to be comfortable when working and I feel the employer should be aware of what I find comfortable.
And I don't wear ties. Ever. Even if required by the employer. Its the line I do not cross.
