In Walcott Iowa about to head on over to West Chicago for my 1600 delivery. Was going to leave after my 10, but since they normally don't let you park in the business or on the street. I would have messed up my 8 hour break trying to make it on time. I'm about 3 hours away. They should let me in 1 hour early if I can remember correctly. Been awhile since I been to this receiver. Well more updates later. Have a good weekend.

Made it to West Chicago and took a nice detour because of the fact I sometimes forget my east from my west. Glad I didn't get a ticket for going down that 5 ton street to get back on course. Parked on the street that you can park on and walked a little of a quarter of a mile to guard shack. Said they don't check in until 15 mins so I'll mentally note that next time. Might as well slide my tandems up to the front because that entrance is no fun getting in. They also put 2 huge rocks there to make sure you will remember to take an extra wide turn. So That's all for now.

Just checked weather and looks like I'll be playing in a little snow. Not fun when empty, but it doesn't look to bad. Just have to slow it down a little. Almost unloaded and will be headed that way shortly
Plainwell here I come.

Well have not been doing much, Jim's mother passed away so been dealing with that. He is still there with his family taking care of things. I am on the road again Picked up a load in Sioux City, yesterday, this AM I faxed the paperwork to the brokers number dispatch gave me called them not received set again called not received double checked with them their fax number here dispatch had given me the wrong number, faxed the paperwork again to the right number now sitting a couple hours from the border waiting for the entry to be done Will just sleep and cross in the morning. Heading to Mississauga Ontario. If you don't know where that is it is just a few steps from hell in my book. Always have trouble getting loads back out of there.
Dinomite Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear about your loss. May the good Lord comfort your family in this time of need.
Not sure where Mississauga is but I have Google maps and don't mind taking the drive with ya. I been to a few places in Canada. Beautiful Country. Hope you get a load out of there soon. You have a safe week. -
Well they are finished with my trailer washout. Back on the road I go. No snow flakes so far. 60 miles from pick up. WE back quiet.

A Real Sleepy Update. So here goes. Was leaving truck wash and check engine light came on so I checked oil and stuff and after all that. Check engine light went off. So I hit the road. Got to Plainwell,MI load was ready. This was going to be a serious hook and book and be out of there. Then when I went to slide tadems. Breaks weren't catching. So I fiddled around with that for awhile. Then I drove to where there was some light, and I guess while I drove just a quarter of a mile or so the E logs kicked me on drive and I didn't know it. So all the time I was fiddling around with those breaks I was on the drive line and already short on hours. Anyway brakes seemed to work but I guess they weren't adjusted good enough. So I used a curb to slide tandems. Then weighed out and figured I can slide tandems back more meaning. Moving the tandems forward which is always good when you drive in philly. I planned on moving them all the way forward when I got to philly. They are on about the 6th or 7th hole so I think I'll leave them that way.
Didn't run into any snow or flurries, but I'm sure I'll hit a few tmrw in PA. Nothing to worry about. Think I'll see more snow on Tues after I get finished with my NYC load and head to Mass. Only have 13 hours left on 70 and won't be losing any hours till Tuesday at midnight mountain time. Which will be 2am EST So depending on how much time it takes me to get to plainwell. I might not be able to leave until close to midnight mountain time, but should still make my 8am apt. Which that place can care less about appointments. They get to you when they get to you. Have pretty decent hours coming off 1st night is 6, 2nd 10,...9,8,10,10 So not sure if I'll have to do a restart or not. I really don't like running recap, but I do want to get to a truck stop to get my nyc, and Mass load turned in before cut off. So we will see what happens. Time for nighty night. Its 2am central time and its time for the lights to go out. C ya.
Shut her down in Perrysburg,OH/Toledo at the Loves with about 20 minutes left on the clock. Never seen so much parking. Gota love the Holidays. Have 530 or so miles left to go. Shouldn't take more then 10 hours. Just not sure if I'm going to go straight to receiver or not due to the lack of parking. We will see later on today. -
Woke up around the 7:30 mark of the sleeper birth time, and was fooling around with something. Then When I glanced over at the Qualcomm I noticed the 8th hour was up and I had 4 hours to drive. I knew I only had 1 hour left that the 14 hour clock didn't allow me to do. But I forgot I got 2 hours in the sleeper getting load off in Chicago. So I high tailed it to Brookville,Pa with less then 15 mins left b4 I was out of hours.
So now I'm going to check the weather and see if it will be snowing later on tonight on my route if so. I'll go ahead and take the two hour break and finish up my trip. I seen places were cars park on the street. So I'll just be taking up somebody's spot when they come to work in the morning.
If weather won't be too bad tonight. I'll go ahead and leave around midnight after 10 hour break. I'm only 5 hours/291 miles away. That way just in case there is difficulty parking then I will have only a few hours to wait. Maybe can avoid a parking ticket if I got there too early today. So going to check weather reports and see what kind of trouble I can get into. G day.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Weather should be good so not leaving till tonight. Thought it was funny earlier I mentioned parking tickets, and as I was looking at google maps I noticed the place I was going to park is right next door to the Philly Police station. That kinda helped my decision. Already have a back up plan where I'll go if there is no parking at 6am. Hopefully it works out. Time for nap.

flew through customs, everything was ready, the local village idiots were out in force, did not realize Ontario Canada had so many people who cant read. Truck lanes at the bridge and cars were lined up there. When I got to the booth made a comment about them and the cashier said she had been trying all day to get them to go to the car lanes. I do have a simple and effective solution. Charge them what we get charged 16.25 when they ##### about it tell them to use the car lane next time. Parked up at the flying J in London. Wireless connection here sucks. Will do the last 100 miles in the morning. Unload and see what dispatch has. Not going to sit rather bobtail back and let them worry about their stupid trailer. Cheaper to bobtail back than spend time here waiting for a reload. 4.00 for a gallon of water, then they screw us on our US money.
Dinomite Thanks this.
