I've got to say that I wasn't happy with Buckely Transportation. I like working Intermodal and that is there only business but after the first week they switched me to a 2am start which I was happy with until the next Wednesday when they said come in at 9am, no problem but by 2PM I was asleep at the wheel and a 8 hour run kept me out over night. OK not to bad if you have a sleeper but I'm in a day cab. The next couple of days I started at 9am so I got my sleep cycle changed so I could do a full day and the next Monday I started at 2am. Great I thought, done by 2pm and home to do a bit of work before I went to bed. Well just as I'm about to go to bed I get a call start at 9am so now I try to stay up but fall asleep watching TV and wake up at 3am. I go to work at 9am telling my boss that I'm not going to be able o run a full day because I didn't get the right amount of sleep and he is OK I'll get you home by 2 or 3pm so you can get the sleep you need and start at 2am as we planned. Now I'm satisfied but at 6PM I get the call to come in at 9am. This goes on for 3 weeks and I coming on a Tuesday at 1PM about to fall asleep at the wheel and I get reprimanded for not going to Ohio with a day cab and not enough hours to make it there and back on the hours left in my day. When I got to the office informed them that I could not make the run because I was tired and didn't have the hours to make the round trip and we came to the decision that I wasn't right for the job.

Nice enough people but they don't have a clue to how run a safe company for drivers.

left buckley a few weeks ago , the safety/recruiter guy cannot figure out why they cannot retain drivers , if the dispatcers would do there job instead of over booking loads and leaving early and know what the HOS regs are ( they like to use the 16 hour rule once a week) they would retain more of them , also they want you to be on time but no toll ways ( if you do they deduct it from the pay) but they route you on them , I left in a weeks time ,
also if you apply for a job for the them , they hire thru a source company that will charge you for your pre employment drug test , and deduct it from your check if you do not stay for more than 30 days , but will not give you a reciept for it for your taxes as its a employer required test for employment . never in my 25 years have I paid for a PEDT . and there basic safety score is 80 ( which is real bad , broken windshields ( 12" cracks thru the middle) , bald or 1/16th tread tires on alot of the tractors

Oh and to add if you worked at will county freight or plan to this is a family member . basically Same ##### different name

Worked for Bill Buckley for 1 1/2 month. The worst experience a Driver can imagine. Equipment is total garbage with no proper pm. Back hauls are always a lie and will have you doing a 10hr off duty in a day cab. I was hired per hour but then switched to percent. Tolls were deducted from my paycheck. I was always shorted my percent and often pay was under minimum wage. Bill Buckley is not a honest man, steer clear of Buckley Trans.

Never thought J-Town would join the list of cities of where not to look for a trucking job. Times have changed since I moved from Northern Illinois.
