Little late on the scene with this post now that we are in cold weather, but the Webasto Blue Cool unit now has shore power connection to run indefinitely, keep truck batteries charged up, and provides pass thru for 120v electrical connections in the sleeper. It will still run like the tradtional version when not connected to shore power.
Who has used a Webasto Blue Cool APU?

Had one on an 08 model 387 white Pete. They suck you will burn up in the summer.

Was that everywhere or when you were primarily in hotter country? I have considered this one in the past, and I pretty much stay north of I-70, from Nebraska to Ohio. Thought is would not be a bad option for that area of the country. Especially since I would never need it for more than an 8-10 hr break.

the night system guys say you get about 4hrs of mediocre cooling. if your on a reset then forget about it. i assume all the electrics are about the same. if you never reset in the truck and stay up north then it may work for ya. it wont cool a truck in tx summer

It might work for you cowpie but in the deepsouth forget it. I say it will work for you, as long as you're not taking 10hr breaks in daytime. Gets hot even in the midwest during the day... night time breaks you should be ok...
