Can you explain this? I understand the where part, as that is the reason for the prorate, but what about the what and all the other....?

I know to haul condensate vs oil the insurance is helluva lot higher. I guess because it is very volatile. I hauled it fer a few years (Plains) and was gonna put on a truck with Plains a couple weeks agobut am gonna go a different route instead

2400?? I need to get signed on with yours lol.. Just renewed October 1, and on 3 2012 Units, 63,500 for AB/SK was 8900, and 9100 and 9100 for the year thru SGI. Thats only commerical insurance for the first 15,000 and a deductible of 2500.

I know when I ran strictly Saskatchewan D plates for 63,500 they were roughly 6000/year, plus the 300/month for the AB permit. That also includes the first 15,000 in insurance and a 2500 deductible.

We ran roughly 2/3 SK and 1/3 AB miles last year. Believe me if I could get it cheaper I would, but when you deal with the Govt Insurance to plate your vehicle, there are no other options here. Either pay the fee or your plates expire and you park.

CharM....you signed up for Prorate this summer, That's not good for a year. Check your registration and cab card and tyhey expire on March 31th. No way is 63,500 ever that cheap for a full 12 mothns. ie; April 1 to March 31 of the following year.

Easy work and long days/hrs. Been on Condy for nearly 5yrs and perfer to haul Condy over Oil anyday. Its clean work, usually loaded through the belly and pump it off ourselves or unload through the belly again. All depends on the facilities. Gotta have a head on your shoulders though! Usually run a 7on-7off schedule or more days if I want. Crude has its perks, it can be just as clean to haul if you clean up after yourself when done loading/unloading. As you see in some posts, usually paid by percentage, which makes a lot of these oil haulers rush. So they load/unload and go and don't clean up for the next guy. Accidents happen this way to guys into much of a hurry, blow a hose and pumped against a closed valve and etc.

You see in Saskatchewan you pay your collision insurance and prorate together, that is why his numbers are high.
In all reality he is paying the same we all pay the same. My trucks are BC, AB, SK, MB, ON 63,500 kg and USA states some up to 138,000 lbs and I pay $2400.00 +-

What a useless freakin forum here. Full of selfish guys eh. Im surprised no one here has ever heard of plains or that a company called plains exists right, WOW. I cant believe i came here seeking help, hoping this would be tons of help lol even google is more help than this drama here. Anyway, i got hired on with a very good company with excellent rates and reviews from current o/o and their company drivers and was shown o/o monthly statements for the past 12 months. I wish this post would have been to say thanks to all the members here but unfortunatly thats not the case because i genuinly did not get any help here at all and the proof is one post above this post. And no its not plains, because i did not want to go with a small company(sarcasm) that supposedly no one has ever heard of................atleast not on this forum.
