Time to update I guess, last time I said anything I was at home I think. Got a load of cat parts to ND, dropped that the day before it snowed 4", got a load from St. Paul, MN to Laredo where I met mystikal again, we got out of there before that winter storm hit but it was starting as we were leaving. Hammered down to Laredo and we both emptied then got the same oversize loads going to Kentucky now, trying to get their by Friday but ehh gonna be close.

Yeah, good call. i forget to update once in a while. Out of Cali, once I dropped the dry van at the Fontana yar, I picked up a flat and drove to a windfarm where I loaded a CAT Skytrack and grout trailer and took them to St Cloud and Avon MN, then met up with AZS and hauled some concrete tumblers to Laredo. Now we're hauling.. well.. hell.. I don't know what we're hauling.. but I know it took 4.5 hours for both of us to secure and tarp 2 trailers. He's right though, it sounds like LS wants it there by Fri but after todays traffic fiasco I think it's gonna be close... and we could end up sitting out until Mon to unload. Thatll suck but i've done worse.

Just a couple questions guys any help would be great. Im leaving my local job to go back OTR, either LST or ATS.

    1. How do they get you out there? I live 1800 miles away dont wana gray dog it all the way there.
    2. How well do they cover tarping in securement training?
    3. how close to home do you have to before they let you DH home?

They fly you to DFW and someone will pick you up from there and take you to Gainesville.

Securement training is done in Houston. They don't cover tarping as much as they should, but it is mostly trial and error.

I live in central MS and have DH home from Panama City, FL before. Also from Birmingham, AL and Lafayette, LA.

They have also allowed me to come home loaded on long weekends. For example, 4th of July had a load that picked up on Thursday in Beaumont, TX because of the holiday it didn't deliver in Chicago till Tuesday. Told my dispatcher that if I was gonna sit on my butt for 3 days i was gonna do it at the house
