I'm not looking for any serious discussion about what companies are paying. Just curios what others made when they started out of school or whatever. Looking back now I laugh at what I was making.

Personally My first job was in 1986 with TransAmerica Transport. I made .07 per mile with a trainer. After that it was $.10 per mile team and $.18 per mile solo. Yep raking in the dough!

My first trip was Fontana to Phoenix and back. Worked out to about 46 bucks!

.27 per mile in 2004 with Commercial Carriers out of Auburndale, Fl. I was on a dedicated Budweiser account 90% of the time, and hauled Kloset Maid loads out of Ocala, Fl to the northeast here and there. The money wasn't great but they were decent people to work for.

.185 per mile in 1990. Running flatbed.

Got up to a whopping 25% in 92 running for an O/O.

.26 in 2003 for a small stepdeck company out of Litchfield,MN called Towmasters. They made trailers and we hauled them to dealerships all over U.S. The Trucks are gone there now but their still in biz. Did I mention no $$ when running empty? HeyHeyHey...Had to start somewhere. :)

27.5cpm in 2004 pulling a reefer for a pair of Punjabi's out of Los Banos, Ca. They where very fond of saying, "Oh buddy, you are never out of hours as long as you have more pages for your log book."

My first truck was a cabover freightliner with no power sterring. The clutch was soo stiff, it was crazy.
