Florence, KY where I shall sit until 01:00 Monday morning. I'm going.to be 2 hours short of a 34 and 2 miles too far to sneak over.

Guess I need to get creative.

I hear you.... that totally really stinks. :biggrin_25510: Will add you in my prayers... HATE to think that in a few weeks I will be back to those freezing places in the USA, that nasty snow... It is still hot hot summer here, no rain since when I arrived here at the end of November... :biggrin_25513:

Winter has set in with a vengeance around here it seems. I've got a week off in January and I'm going home to Florida to find a job come hell or high water, the cold doesn't bother me but the roads I travel in this weather is for the birds. BTW Rocks, you should do a big photo blast before you come home, always enjoyed your photos and narration to go along with them.

Thanks Trashtrucker1265.... :biggrin_25519: A big photo blast... only problem is where I am now... a boring, unatractive place... nothing really extraordinary to see other than dry flat land, no sea, no rivers, no lakes (all dry)... poor small villages and towns in the backlands... this is a small rural town... It would be very different if I were in the big city of Rio de Janeiro now, near the beach... OH YEAH!!! :yes2557: I would show you millions of people already celebrating the New Year on the streets everywhere... and rushing to the beaches for the big New Year's Eve celebration... stages, free shows all night long, religious celebrations on the beach, 30 min fireworks over the sea... Oh my... It is HUGE AND WILD! :yes2557:Can't be described with words... But I will be (probably at home) quietly enjoying the last days of my visit here with my dad... and solving a few other problems that I came here for....

You know, Rocks, by you sharing the pics and narratives of your visit home, I think we've all enjoyed your visit with your Dad almost as much as you. I hope he's doing well (as I hope you are, also).

It will be a quiet New Year here. I'm guessing this will be the 2nd year in a row I've missed welcoming in the New Year. If I don't start feeling better, I'm not going to be all that excited about 2013.

Giggles, I'm very worried about the hubby getting this. I'm miserable and somewhat healthy, but with his health problems, it scares me greatly.

Enjoy Rocks! The yearly ice age is in full swing up here! :biggrin_25510:

Dropped my load of cheese over at the Kraft caves in Springfield MO, headed across the highway to the terminal for a steak dinner (yum!) - and hooked up on an outbound load. Waiting for them to finish loading and generate my bills. Champaign IL tomorrow.
