I did mine in '07 and heard it hasn't changed much. They had two guys giving road tests and they just grabbed two random trucks off the yard that were hooked up to trailers already. We didn't have flat beds at the time but I can't see where it would matter.

The pre trip wasn't formal, by the book. Since the trailer was already hooked up, he just wanted us to walk him through our procedure in general terms, just making sure you have done it before. Simple stuff like hooking up air hoses, raising landing gear, walk around to check the lights and kick the tires etc. Not extremely detailed. I guess they figure you wouldn't have a CDL if you didn't know the basics.

Haha, yea that's for sure. I got to drive one of the new Volvos last night and I wasn't impressed. I hope we get the cascadia instead. Need to pm me your number so we can talk at night. I get bored while driving and I only know two guys at night so we end up talking about the same thing lol

That's exactly what our group did for the pre trip / road test
The road test was very lengthy... Still nothing to stress over!

The only thing we have different are two Volvos about the same age and two new Internationals, but they are single axle for city only.
We only have 10 trucks total, all are busy during the day and only 4 shuttles run at night.
