I've hauled tanker my whole 8 year career. It's awesome but challenging. Make sure you know what product your hauling if its the right tank and size. These things you will learn as you go. Good luck.

Yes, they require you to be clean shaven because you will be fitted for a mask. It must fit very snugly. You must also wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, steel toe boots all year long.Gloves, mask (for specific loads) must be used at all times. I was guaranteed 6 days off per month. The good thing about tanker is you get to choose how/when to take your days...such as 7/2 or 21/6. All trucks must be kept at a terminal on your days off but you can do whatever you want to the truck during your days off.
Thanks Kingstrucking for the advice. I hope to stay tanker for my career as well. How long did it take you to learn / get comfortable with the job? -
bulk may be out for me dang it. i can use the mach 9000 razor, 4 blades and all and it hurts like a sob....thats why i carry my trimmer...i really hate that...

when they say clean shaved I don't know if that means an electric wouldnt be fine. They just don't want you with days of growth...I'll let you know exactly when I get there.

good man...thanks. i wouldnt want my tanker and hazmat to go to waste. i usually trim it every 2-3 days and even then its not too bad....

Sorry for the confusion. I meant that if you want to load your truck with personal items, put things in it for your next trip, etc. you are allowed to do so.

. In other words, if your truck sits for three days while you are off, they won't give the truck to someone else.

Why did you leave law enforcement to become a trucker and what did you do in law, policeman?
