Seems to be the going scam for a lot of companies. Example hoosier tradewinds was 13 cent a mile on maintenance account, 10 cent a mile for performance bond thats not including fuel, d2 link. plates, insurance, lease purchase, taxes etc... to come home with a 80. dollar check.

Hi Veteran Driver. Can you please tell me from where you got those quotes on a Ryder Freightliner Cascadia? I'd like to see if I could get similar pricing in Baltimore, MD. The quotes from Penske and Ryder have been higher than that for my own shipping company, Thanks!

Veteran driver you got that perfect, All these companies know they will get somebody to lease and they quit and another and another, These idiots will never walk away with a clear truck title, I been trucking 37 years, I think I know maybe a hand full that did it and got totally ripped off, All you rookies when you lease you do not own the truck unless it banked financed and you still don't own it, I was an owner operator for 32 years had 4 Kw w900l After a 5 year bank finaced then you get a clear title these leases should be illegal, Its like Panther transport they want the driver to pay the owner operators fuel tax aint that the #### then they 1099 you and you get hit with a 23% self employment tax, no workman's comp unless you buy. Wake up people if it was that simple every one out there would own there own truck

mockery, name-calling, and profanity seem to be the norm on this forum

sad, because so many come here to find information about their career and they have to meet up with neanderthals

no one is saying to be pompous, but out&out rudeness and arrogance are never called for

Don't lease or drive for CR England if you haven't drove for a year. Be smart!

No, that is actually NOT the norm around here. We tend to not sugar coat things or wear kid gloves around here, but insulting, antagonistic and inflammatory behavior is not allowed. There is a difference. You are behaving in the manner you are talking about by referring to people around here as "neanderthals".

    d o g Thanks this.

it is most definitely allowed, but depending on how folks want to cherry-pick or interpret things it falls into "not sugar-coating" or "inflammatory"

in most circles, a general statement about a general attitude is not considered inflammatory, BUT directing specific statements towards a specific person IS considered rude and offensive

which is why the poster said:
which i am sure most of the staff would agree

I agree with Lilbit. They do not allow it. They also can't catch every instance of it. That's why they have the report button. TTR is pretty good at stopping the BS that comes on here. You can't stop every one though. There's thousands of members and thousands of posts. That's a lot to keep up with.
