If you are paying fuel you get 60% + 100% of fsc..70 cpm is what Panther going rate for vans these days I heard,so if the van gets .70 cpm that means you get .42 cpm + fsc which I have no idea what the going rate for fsc for vans are but straight trucks where around .20cpm - .29cpm Also make sure you get 60% on all loaded empty miles Panther pays empty miles after 50 miles that's if it still set up that way depends on her contract with Panther.

Also I should ad there a lot of van jobs out there and if that's what you want to drive look around more cause I seen van owners offering a 65/35 65% to driver which is little bit more $$.Just an FYI.

Well, I've been reading this thread on Panther and I also am considering getting on with them. Thinking of going the O/O route with either a cargo van or a straight truck. Like Sterling1970 I am new to this. Any advice if being an O/O is a good way to go? My main concern is if there is enough freight for a cargo van to be profitable. Of course the recruiter says there is. I am looking at my options right now. I do have my Class A but I have been out of school for 9 months. I like the idea of being an independent contractor. Any insights?
