I'm trying to find out about the Schneider National oil field division. I've been searching other posts for info and I can't find anything specific about them.

Anyone currently working for Schneider in the oil field division? I've been talking to their recruiters about both Corpus Christi and San Antonio work. I'd like to get an opinion from someone currently working for Schneider in the Texas oil fields.

I currently live in Oregon and I have about 10 months OTR experience, I have an Oregon Class A CDL with tanker, hazmat and double-triple endorsements. I also have my TWIC card. I want to log my year with my current OTR company and move to Texas and get a day cab job/hour pay job.

    Thanks in advance.

WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?. Schneider has been here in the oilfields of Texas for over a year. Or did you miss those big orange trucks with the drivers that had matching jumpsuits

A bunch of smack talk but no useful information. Schneider will fold? What facts do you use to come to that conclusion? I only hear people trash talking companies and they sound like drunks in a bar. There ain't one bit of first hand information at all. How about the company uses this procedure or does this wrong. That will cause this too happen and when that happens the lawsuits will come rolling in and the company does not have the financial reserves or insurance to cover that loss. How about I worked for them and this is what I got and what I had to do. I went to another company and I got this much more while doing this much less. If not you are that guy talking trash about a girl that would never go out with you. Just put the facts first. Then throw in the smack talk.

If you don't get any replies in this thread, you might try sending PM's to some of the drivers who have posted in the other Schneider threads in this forum.

their pay is garbage compared to companies who were already established in the oil field. that is the basis of the smack talk. but i suppose it wouldn't be a bad way to get your foot in the door down here while you look for one of the many jobs that pay more
