Anyone else notice fuel just went up .30/gal in a week? Fsc is lagging.

My first week and a couple of days with a trainer are under my belt. Things seem to be going very well, and my trainer is very conscientious about my training. I really appreciate his dedication. He's letting me do most things on the truck so that's allowing me to become familiar with things rather quickly, though I'm still concerned with my memorization of macro numbers. I know what needs to be sent and I can do it on the new Qualcomm but I'm worried about how that knowledge will translate on the old Qualcomm. If things keep going well I should be able to upgrade in less than 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to it.

    Lady K Thanks this.

You'll get a paper with all the macro numbers you can keep in your map pocket and reference after you upgrade. Try to memorize 9,13,14,16, and 27. Other than 01(dm message) and HOS most of your messages will be one of those.

Fortunately I know all of those and I think 38? Load/Unload comes up quite a bit. The HOS macros I have no idea what they are since I access those entirely through the HOS menu on the new Qualcomm. Hopefully, that won't hang me up on the upgrade test.

I've never used a 38. 13 on arrival, 14 or 16 on depart. Study your HOS macros, I don't recall if they are on the test, but you'll need them when you upgrade regardless. They're all in the 40's.

Hello, I am looking into Central Refrigerated for CDL training and was hoping I could ask you all some questions.

    1. Did you go through their CDL schooling? If so how was your experiences?

    2. How was your first year at Central, both miles and training?

    3. I was told by the recruiter, that we can have a pet after going solo, is this bs or fact?

    4. Any one from Washington give a description of the terminal here?

I have experience working away from home for weeks at a time so I am not too worried about it. Just trying to get duckies in a row. I have read some of the other post and just looking for to expect (other than being a newbie who has to prove himself in the beginning). Thanks for any replies/PMs or info you guys give me.

Maybe I misunderstood, said I would be dispatched out of Washington after training is over, since Washington is my residence.

I believe there are two new terminals in the works. One is Roechelle (sp?) Illinois and the other I thought was to be in Oregon but it might be Washington. The one in Illinois will be big, the other I'm not so sure.
