Does anyone have any information on the dedicated Wal Mart account in Bedford Pa? All I know for sure is that they slip seat which isn't real popular but other than that how is it? What are the miles like and the pay? Any information you can provide would be helpful. I don't trust or beleive recruiters.

Thanks Klatu but...I am pretty sure they didn't lose it. They are recruiting heavy for those spots in my area. (I live just a few miles from there) The biggest thing I have heard through the grapevine as far as negative feedback is that they slip seat. I haven't been able to run into anyone who drives for them yet though. I see the pumpkin trucks with Walmart trailers all over the place here though. I am just curious. I am thinking about going with them but I want to get all the facts before I make a decision.

When I was with the Gordonsville location for Schneider pulling Wal-Mart freight it was a pretty good gig outside of slip seating crappy trucks... Most of Bedford freight moves at night and goes to Western Pennsylvania, All of Maryland, Lower Delaware and Winchester VA

Realistically lost account because they couldn't employ enough quality drivers to safely deliver on time and without damaging equipment and or property.

Baltimore and DC market is not exactly easy driving for rookies.

I haven't heard anything about bedford losing the account. Bedford also does Sam's club (frozen and dairy can't start delivering until 2100). As far as I know bedford covers a good chunk of PA, some MD, and WV.

I know at wintersville, if you're a full time driver and are there for 3-6 months you'll get "your own truck" which is still used by others when you're time at home.
