Knight Orientation/Memphis Terminal

What happened to the OP? He is a Knight recruiter.

 

I've been on the reefer side 6 months now. On my way out the door soon lol. The OP is a recruiter or flat out lying. I got great miles my first 2 months here as well.....then its all gone. Bye Bye!! Then comes the 300-650 mile runs with 2 days to do it for the remainder of your employment. I stay out about 2 months at a time...and they still don't want to send me home lol. Missing reimbursments on payday. Milage pay for local work when promised hourly. You get punished for turning loads down....even if your trying to get home and gave them that notice 30 days in advance, they allways want a few more loads from you. And they started a new policy on trucks during hometime. If you take more than 3 days off....you have to take all your stuff with you in case they want someone else to use it while your off. Pay is OK for shorthauling everywhere lol. But not enough. The main thing that pisses all the drivers off and gets them to quit.....each terminal has its own area with its own planners. And if your not out of they're terminal, they don't give a #### about your wants or needs. They give the good runs to they're drivers...and the outside drivers get hosed with local runs and 4 stop overnighters. This isn't my first trucking job either....I was a flatbedder for 8 years prior. Just thought i'd try a box for once lol. For you new people. Get your year in....try and enjoy yourself, and learn as much as you can. Then do whatever makes you happy.

 

Does anyone know anything about the terminal in Atlanta? The DM's, drive miles, home time, etc??I'm a new driver and have already decided to drive for Knight.. Any info will be appreciated from anyone, especially out of Atlanta... Thanx

 

Cant help you much there. I know the Atlanta terminal is nice and brand spanking new, but I don't know anyone who runs out of that terminal.
