they hire new car haulers or they use to. i worked for them. they train ylu in Greer Sc at the BMW place. they pay good money but your really work for it. you work 7 days a week. I drove for then like 11 years ago so thing may have changed. we would deliver in say Detroit in afternoon. you would reload Jeeps in Toledo in the morning ,thats easy. Then you had to drive and deliver the Jeeps in Port of Baltimore the same day. The port is open or was 24/7 wear we drop the Jeeps. really nobody is their but gaurd. So we drive in inload and go to the TA in Baltimore. Then in the moring they reload you with the good Stuff 8 cars and you deliver them that day or the next. They use to send us up to northest but i think they just hire driver for the northeast now.

That why you never sit or have a day off. Because once you deliver the car you just go back empty and reload asap. In Greer Sc i take 3 hours to load truck. We HAD to wear uniforms and at that time it was short sleve dress shirts and long pants. Those get hot in the summer. You drive and sleep in a very small cab over truck. Getting dress laying down was new to me becausd i was drivong OTR truck with stand up sleepers.

Home time was not so good. They never would know what day the boat with cars would show up. So when they did the cars alway come first because at the time once the cars were released from being imported. They had 24 hours to get the car on a truck.. So if you had time off and the cars come in, well your not gooing home.

They pay good and you get to drive some amazing car like $150,00 Porscha

    pandaboi Thanks this.

We are looking for an experienced driver with car hauling experience will get home almost every weekend - load permitting. Have excellent equipment automatic Freightliner with a Wally-mo 7car easy load. Do you live in Columbia, SC? We primarily run the East Coast border Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. We are a very good company to work for as we were on the road for 15years. Sound interested?
