Thanks for checking in... I miss you talking about your trees... I know, it's winter.... But spring is just around the corner... YEAH!! Can't wait for spring to arrive... even with all that nasty pollen, it's still MUCH better than this awful winter. Oh, would like to check in too... I am at the terminal in Indianapolis :yes2557: Dropped the loaded trailer in Beaver Dam, WI, hooked to a preloaded one, dropped in Indianapolis, hooked to another empty, filled up the tanks, and now taking 34 at the terminal, doing laundry, etc. Hopefully my overwhelmed dispatcher will find me something for Monday... hopefully...

Tularosa New Mexico. At a far superior truck stop compared to last nights. Slow day though, 550 miles took me 10 hours on these roads. Lots of small towns to slow down for. Going to be heading on over to Tucson tommorow for some awesome biscuits and gravy at the Triple T .
Heres a hot tip for y'all: Don't admire the moose bumper of a parked W900 without first making sure the driver knows you're in front of his truck, otherwise you might end up stuck in it!
Had a guy standing right close to my grille looking at my moose bumper and I hadn't noticed him walk up as I was busy righting in my comic book when he came up . The truck was allready running and I put it in gear to move out and all of a sudden he jumps out to the side looking pissed at me. I stopped immediately and politely informed him that when you stand that close to the grille of a long hood truck the driver cannot see you. He was quick to apologize but I think he may have been just a few sandwiches short of a picnic, if you know what I mean!

Cool little place, picked up a couple sassy girl bracelets for Flo in the gift shop.

Getting there to/from the north still sucks, though. Couldn't believe with all the money NM has spent on roads, that 54 is one of the last to get widened.

Oldhand, you keep that blizzard pooh pooh up there!!! I've had my fill of it for this year. We're already in a Winter Weather Advisory for tomorrow into Monday morning. Today we've had thunderstorms and that's fine, we need the moisture, but NO MORE SNOW :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25513:

That 54 is a bit of a goat trail at times. Narrow and rough. I would hate to drop a steer tire off the edge of the pavement on some sections, I don't think it would end well!!

Last day at home tomorrow.. Off to Orientation Monday in Rillito (CTI) This will be my first time through "any" type of orientation for anyone after nine years in all of on the road orientation. (learning the hard and perhaps not always the correct way) Supposed to be a week long :biggrin_2556:. After which I'm told I'll be out with trainer for a week or? After that Was told I'll be assigned a truck and be available for dispatch I guess then I'll be a "REAL" truck driver :biggrin_25523:
