I spent just over nine hrs in the dock today at the US Foods in Charlotte, NC. My appt time was 0530 and I left just before 1500. The average time today was 5 1/2 hrs for most. Got detention pay but it really wasn't worth my time. Hope I never go there again!!!!

The receipt was for a load my friend took to the landfill in his dump wagon and i sold the potatoes at the market in atlanta to first guy that had $5000 cash. If these people want to make interstate commerce a game, Im gonna play to win!!!!!!!! Needless to say i went back to flatbeddin after that load..........[/QUOTE]

You set yourself up to be sued. Don't think I'd have made this statement.

Sysco sucks donkey ball sweat! I was told by my dispatcher that my load is "time critical" and I must be there on time. I got there on time and have been sitting for 5 hours waiting for these lazy and worthless lumpers to unload me. They're on break more than they're working!

If you're on the list for the day at Sysco it usually doesn't take that long, but if your broker or dispatcher didn't get you on the list Sysco will wait until all of the appointments are done for the morning before they get you unloaded. My first 5 sysco loads took 5+ hours to get unloaded, then they told me "call in advance and get on the list". After doing that I'm out of there within an hour or so every week now.

I had an appointment for 9am and was told it was time critical. I don't know if that meant I was on the list or not. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks!
