My experience with A & R Transport...Joliet,IL

Ive never been to that one, but I have been to one in SC..

 

That would cripple A/R terminals n Charlotte and Florence, a big percentage if there work load comes from DAK, I have loaded there alot... @ Oldyankee

 

Cutty check out there thread on here, they hire out of state for regional,long haul and dedicated. Im almost always pre planned, on sitting around waiting on a load good bonus with benefits. And u determine how u want to run.. website fcc-inc.com

 

What is it with some drivers that just want to drive? Sure u don't get quite as many miles as u would bumping docks but u can make Alot more money if u are just willing to work. I just don't get it

 

Well if you are referring to me ill tell ya what... i was doin very well there n a hard worker they hated to see me go trust me... you dont beleive just ask.. its all about the money for me.. im not willing to accept mediocre pay, esp if I say I need more.. ive been driving to long to accept that. So I dont keep complaing, I move on plain n simple.. I can go wherever I want with my clean slate..

 

Well I wasn't really pointing that towards anyone. I just see at an low average of 41 cpm if u are loaded 50% of the time plus unloading pay and all how there isn't good money in it plus good insurance and a great vacation plan it is good for me. And on a positive note u ain't just got to sit and drive and bump docks u can get out and get some exercise and be a little healthier

 

Great bennies yes I agree... I liked getting out the truck but jus seems I was doin to much and not making any real money.. to much local for me and hard to get out in the system.. good folks just not content with money I was gettin..

 

It's not about just wanting to drive, it's about stability for me, And what gives you the impression that theres all this money to be made if you just work? U go put in 6 yrs doing it and come back and we'll talk about it, U don't know what your talking about, the benefits are the same as any one else's just about. It use to be a good job, but it's falling off drastically.. And the exercise is the best part of that job, but theres a good chance you can get injured in the process.. If your in it already or thinking of doing so good luck, I'm pulling a van now and I'm almost doubling my weekly pay since I left... It's all about consistency, my family depends on that..

 

Any A&R drivers out there running out of So. Cal? just wondering if it is any different here?

 

San B. I can tell you has the most freight so u will have work I only pulled out of there twice,didnt spend enuff time there to answer your ?. But there still the same company run by the same people.. Good Luck 2 U
