Absolutely right, JRut; repeat this, anyone looking to get into the field: OILFIELD=NO SOCIAL LIFE. I'm a water hauler, myself...I'm so tired by the time I finally get back to the cubbyhole I'm renting (away from home, mind you) I'm lucky I can make myself take a shower. With that said, I enjoy my job and I sure love the overtime...if you didn't work the overtime, the money wouldn't be worth the effort.

 

Starting pay depends what department you go in....cement starts@ 18 frac alil lower n coil tubing starts pretty good....rite now we are pickn up yes u can get 80+ if ur in frac n coil...cement is startn to pick up but if you wrk ur logs rite ur in good shape

 

Yes, "waiting time" is key.

Sorry I mean waiting time in regards to your log book. Yes on the job site. Legally you can only work 70 hours but if you work your logs right and go off duty for all the waiting time that's how people get there 90+ hours a week legally.

 

That's what I hear hunnydew, some serious cash to be made and lots of it. glad it's still going on

 

does anyone know od D&G transport? a contractor that runs crude in and around San Antonio. Looking for feed back on them, are they cool or what. There are tons down there I just need a direction before I launch.
