No your I know who and when should be out here doing this or that attitude says it all. I don't take kindly to people who "cast blame on the idiots" ie Swift "MY" employer who puts food on me and my families table every week disrespecting me through hating on my carrier. How did you get started? Who took a shot with you behind the wheel of these monsters? I know the answer. Someone who took a chance on you and now down the years you've become one of the prime examples of what I never ever want to become. God forbid, I defend my company and my desire to make roads safer the small way that I can. By the way, how much experience does one need to be at a "bottom feeder company" to progress to a "better" one? Just a question for you sir.
New soon to be swift trainee!

As for your progression from working for a bottom feeder... well, I sincerely, wish you find a better one....the sooner the better.
No sense in supporting the scum who keep churning the bottom looking for more cheap meat.... -
I see the difference, my mentor had 10 years experience, taught me well, I still talk with him. So being trained by someone with years of experience who done it right prepared me for the job. Just in case by chance I need advice when he isn't available I can go and do it myself. Just in case by chance a new driver or even experienced guy needs help I can help and know exactly what to do and when to do it so no one gets hurt. and you must have went into the future and into my truck because I never for once said I would be sleep in the bunk while the student drove. I do remember saying I am not doing this for money and I do recall saying I want new drivers to know what they are doing when they are alone.
Someone said something extremely ingenious and that was a term "super solo" so mind you. With my (lack of experience according to yourself) that means im automatically going to say whelp you know what you're doing good night! And then go sleep? Not likely, especially since I didn't say that. Another thing saying you wish I would go to a better company instead of the "scum" implys what? Experience.. Right? And that doesn't answer my question, how much experience does one need to go from a "bottom company to a "better" one? -
Do you really think Swift is going to put a trainee with you and NOT EXPECT the truck to be operated as a team...at all....???
You do know that's how these bottom feeders work don't you??
I'd say, you've got enough experience already to move up from the bottom...
But you sure as hell do not have the experience needed to be training new drivers. -
Ok and I will tell you I may decide it could be run as teams but I didn't say that I would do it even if the student isn't ready. You're beginning to remind me of a person that tells people they can't achieve what they want because they lack experience. I enjoyed early 1990s basketball I'm sure glad Michael Jordan didn't listen to his haters while he was in school or when I was younger I remember being glad
eminem didn't fade into darkness like he could have because he was a different color or all the other overachievers who succeeded inspite of their naysayers. Its been real but you can kindly get off my thread now. Because by God I will do what I desire to do. Planning to succeed and not fail like you seen to believe people at swift are born to do because they are with swift. You remind me of the serpent in the garden. Did God really say?
The answer to my question is 6 months to a year, I make 8 months at the beginning of April. I like my company just because you listen to swifts haters doesn't mean I have to and or will. You think you know it all. When you own a multi billion dollar company then you can come back in my thread and tell me what to do and when. If you don't like this response then I don't care you've disrespected me for the last time and I lack the care for your feelings henceforth. Thank you, I'll be about my way. You really should to.hairytruckerswife Thanks this. -
But do this industry a favour.... step away from the brainwashing machine that Swift's got your head locked in.
In reality, You are not qualified to be a trainer...not even close.
Maybe by swift standards you are...but we all know swift's reputation and it's not pretty.
There's a reason why they have such a bad reputation..... -
And that's why you aren't with them. If you're so better why are you prowling this thread about them? Envious, a secret desire to be here? Brainwashing? Who is more brainwashed someone who actually have worked at the "bad" company or someone who hears about it and believes what he is told? At least the drivers here have the guts to step up to what everyone calls bad and have success while you're on the outside thinking you're better. That's high school last time I checked I'm out of high school. You seem a little to old to be playing those games. This is what you make it, if you
know it all you should have known this trucking truth. As the more hoodie people say "deuces, kick rocks" cause you don't have the grit in you at all to like what others hate and they nor you even know why. So high school, go along with the crowd while I do what I know I can and do it safely and right the first time. If you never worked for swift then you're a follower an if you did and quit you're a failure. Simple as that. Again who is more brainwashed?hairytruckerswife Thanks this. -
One day perhaps you can revisit this response when you have more experience and realize the views being expressed. -
-
No I didn't get upset with his view I got upset with his disrespect thanks for actually reading the thread.
