Yep WH,i was offered some bean loads today for .28 going 186 miles and broker told me they wanted to ''give me a shot at em'' before they were all gone:biggrin_25521:. I politely declined and told him ''no thanks''. One thing about it though,i've been catching up on my favorite tv show,Castle:biggrin_255:

Good deal, glad to hear some better news on rates for ya. Merchandiser e-mailed me late today that I have 2 loads corn going to dist. with a small bounce to pick up 1 load of BM,and 1 load of SHP coming back to my local feed mill. Maybe things are picking back up a tad.

That's what it is looking like up here. And I'm gonna enjoy it after our DOT audit next week

I was happy about the rates. I hate to be negative all the time about them but that's just the way they were. Hope you can stay busy also dairyman.
Those audits are never fun. The worse IMO is the IRP and IFTA audits.

WH,my cousin has been running just north of ya out of Abilene hauling alfalfa hay for Chase Farms, ever heard of them? Real nice folks to deal with so far. Probably a tad too far north of ya,but thought i'd ask just in case.

I don't know them. Abilene is about 90 miles Northeast of me. Where is he hauling that hay to Kentucky?

!0-4,been bringing it in to a couple of large dairies along with 5 or 6 smaller ones. He loves it too,(minus the tarping in ya'll's wind:biggrin_2559:),they load him about whenever he wants, and then the dairies back here are happy to see him when he gets back. Always makes life more enjoyable when both shipper and receiver of the load are glad to see ya.

It's kinda nice wheathauler to finally see things picking up with some better rates as I figured things would once the weather started to change.. I have several things going on but been picking and choosing as I don't want to make to many commitments and be to busy to take on any of the good things

    wheathauler Thanks this.
