last week i ran solo 1,000 miles and my check was over $1,500 now why would i want to run team 6,000-7,000 miles to make the same..... we can sit for 4 days a week and run 3 days and we make more than your teams do a week..... it's called working smarter not working harder

btw when i run team and do 6,000 miles we each get about $5,000
last year our avg pay for every day the truck was out was $1,088 and we didn't run every day we were out, thats 182 days team and 81 days solo, lots of weekends off but still away from home.

i say "I" and "WE" because i run solo when the wife wants to be home and team when she wants to..... would Abilene let me change from team to solo and back anytime i want....?

like i said Abilene doesn't pay enough for me to think about it

You are being very unfair Flood. Obviously as an O/O this does not compare. (and you are kinda rubbing his nose in it)

not realy i just called them and their O/O pay is (highest is NE) is $1.06 not NE is .96
so for the 1000 miles i ran last week with them i would have made $1,000 + fsc but doing what i did i cleaired (after fuel and everything) over $1,500 so why would i want to do the NE and make way less..

Well all I can say is it has been a rough week and I am ready for some miles. I'm forgetting what it feels like to drive a full shift lol. Looks like we will be heading north from Waco and hope the weather stays nice. I can hope!

The ONLY thing's I hate about going back to Let's Go Xpress is having to go through the complete orientation we went through a little over 18mo's ago... USXpress's orientation is stupid, in my opinion..having newbies with experienced drivers all in the same class! They should have a newbie orientation, a separate experienced driver orientation and a separate orientation for drivers that come back. We still have the med card that we got from USXpress in 2011/2012 Also,,,I hate auto's but,,I will deal with whatever, the Lord will give me the strength to get through it all...Amen!

New to this board, but just wondering Flood, do you work for USX? If you don't mind me asking. Sounds like you have a good thing going wherever you work.

was a company team/solo with usx for 7 years then went true O/O with usx for the last 2 years.... well we have usx on the truck and trailer anyway but usx has no say about what we do....

we run for a small agent/sub-fleet. nothing about what we do is the same as usx... pay/ dispatch/loads

Got it. So you have your own authority? I take it being a regular o/o for them isn't that great?
