yeah, thats enough alone to make you run away
mje Thanks this. -
I understand the 1099 thing pretty well. With enough of a premium in pay I wouldn't mind it under the right circumstances. I considered a job offer today from a small carrier(Sunset exp)that offered .38cpm but the first 100 miles deadhead were not paid and then the real kicker...they wanted a $1000 escrow payment from me...NEXT!

I think you will find van erden and van kampen are both decent companies.
Giggles the Original and mje Thank this. -
used to drive for M.C Van Kampen...we drove for a fleet owner tho....decent company
Van Eerden, have heard good things about them...
there is also Koleaseco in hudsonville...used to be a good company..i am guessing still are...hubby ran otr and local for them, i ran local for them for 2 years...
i thought Feb 14th was going out of business???? thats what i heard a while back...
and EverFresh.....they used to be in Byron Center when we drove for them....
all of those companies (used to ) haul furniture out and produce back...(well not sure about feb 14th)...
we had a dedicated herman miller at everfresh from mi to rocklin ca many years ago....critters, hunts2much and mje Thank this. -
forgot about everfresh, all those are still around still good companies, feb 14th is still around not sure how good they are but I did bring back one their flats from Laredo before my trailer went into Mexico they had one they needed back up here.
mje and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
forgot to mention, koleaseco runs the solos the FL or the east coast...(thats how it used to be anyway) hubby did a flower gig to FL and loved it....
JP (owner) always kept his equipment in nice shape...he did have reefers and dry vans...i am sure you live up there, you have seen them....
we left MI in 2004....so its been a while -
I've also heard good stuff about Koleaseco. They had a c/l add a week ago looking for drivers to run dedicated to Ontario and back. I applied and have not heard back from them. They are the only place I've applied without hearing back from so I'm not sure what gives with them. Maybe my one ticket was an issue ? Not sure though. Probably will make a follow up call to them soon.
I will look into Everfresh, forgot about them. Thanks!mje and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
they are still around also. Merv from van kampen passed not to awfull long ago
mje Thanks this.
