Actually training is in Dallas. Just completed piss test, pulmonary test and OSHA form. Day rate of $150 plus 20/pu/ul. That's about all I have been told. Scarry!

$150 a day for hauling sand??? LOL That is $10 more than our minimum load pay for loads like 60 miles. Make 2-5 day. If you aren't making $250+ a day you are getting raped. But then that's what Schneider is famous for isn't it? Good day you can make $500+ easy with good company. Get your training and get gone quick before the boom is over and Schneider has all the money in their pocket.

I have heard of good money to be made, but I don't have two years of experience. I have only 8 months recent, 7 more months but that was 7 years ago and no one seems to recognize them. Perhaps due to insurance requirements, I am not sure. Makes me wonder if a seasoned driver with say 10 years of total experience and he has a break of a year or two, loses the previous years experience? It is a messed up industry.

As for the money, Hey, I just need a job at this point. I have called all around and have come up short because of not having 2 years or 1 year of recent experience. Sure I am short for this year with only 8 months so I have to suck it up and do my time. What eggs me on though is the seemingly cheapness of some outfits. Schneider wont say if I will get one, two or three loads a day? Why is it such a mystery. SCAM or FRAUD?

Thinking of just running a flatbed for the time period and work on making contacts in the oilfields. It may be the same money in the short term? What's a newb to do.

Calls don't get it in TX oilfield. This is TEXAS. A handshake means more than a trainload of HR losers. Get out and hit companies. You're too lazy to do that you will wind up with rats like Schneider more than likely. You can make a hand or you can make a face. That is the oil patch mentality. These folks get hundreds of calls from out of work Yankees and others every day. Put your pug in front of them. And quit hiding behind too little experience BS. Except for crude and chemicals many of these people could care less. The work is there for those willing to go and get it. You want to get hired on line or your wife can't live more then 10 miles from her family then forget it. You wouldn't cut it more then likely. Sorry to be harsh. But those are facts. You want 8-5 forget it unless you land an office job. You want to never get dirty forget it. You want to smart off to pushers or others in charge of location forget it. Your butt will be gone in a minute. You want to work where ever and whenever you are needed you will be welcomed and payed well. Promoted if you are worthy. And have a lot of laughs while doing it. It's not brain surgery. It's a huge and growing industry who do things their way and are dying for good honest people who are willing to get out there and work.
