The sentiment you express is admirable, but the phrase "white knights" is forever ruined for me, sorry. Just like I know the swastika has been around for 1000's of years -- I wouldn't affiliate with any group currently using it as a logo, no matter how much good they do.

Some people don't get it. If your goal is to create a group where everyone pitches in and helps one another out you don't start with a name that can reasonably be mistaken for something offensive.

Maybe the slogan for this group can be: "We are the White Knights you won't find any chinks in our armor" You see how that isn't offensive, but it could reasonably be mistaken for something offensive.

well I will tell ya what , get with the members of the group and collectively come up with a different and better name and fix it then, I find nothing offensive about the name i picked , truck drivers when i was a kid were known as white knights of the road, just like in the old westerns on movies and tv in the 50's and 60's the good guys wore white hats..... this arguement is like my ex ######## about my using all caps typing on computer says i am yelling lol locaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Does that include keeping well groomed, clean shaven, practicing good hygiene, and not wearing clothes like you are a freak at Woodstock? Take a look at TV shows, movies, and pictures that showed truck drivers in, say, the 50's, and compare them to what typically walks across the truck stop parking lot and customer shipping and receiving areas today. Image is everything.

We never know when we will be needed. I look at it like candy. The chance to make a friend. No one has ever been angry when We stopped to help.

right on, thats what we are talking about here truckers image , clean well groomed not looking like some gangbanger or a freak that scares people ,,,, not filthy dirty and smelling .... courtesy to fellow drivers, and the general public.... it don't take me more than 10 mins to shower shave and change to clean clothes, so the don't have time arguement is out the window...i will have my shower at least everyother day.....

and btw i ain't seen any drivers in white sheets with burning crosses changing tires on the side of the road or in a truck stop either.....so that arguement is bs as far as i am concerned , ifn you don't like the group name get it changed or move on...... i will change it by a posted vote yay or nay by each member in the group....
