The one i drove did paving so i was in rush hour in atlanta from the morning until the afternoon
Not to mention the one i drove was a mack and it rode like a tank -
I see your from bkln. ny If your asking about the metro ny area it depends if your union or non union.the non union trucks mostly get paid by the load. They run hard and the money is not so great probably 40 to 55 a load with 12 plus hours a day common. The union trucks your are seeing are making around 35.00 to 40.00 an hour plus full benifits.

Not enough... I drive transfers out west and I barely get by. Thankfully I just scored a local fuel gig that pays 50% more an hour

LOL
who did you drive for in Atlanta making that kind of money...I know it wasnt Leach sand and Gravel or Hatcher or many others
Never seen pay in the Atlanta area over 12 an hour...I broke my teeth in trucking in Atlanta pulling hot rock around town -

Been doing it 2 years now, no slow down insight. Infact there are 4 more sand pits going in, plus the 4 that are already here. when you haul the best sand in the world, there will always be work. unless we quit using gas & oil
