Nine yrs ago,15 yrs ago, does'nt matter,I figure you would learn ater your first careless driving.Yes companies go back so many yrs,but there are exceptions to every rule.Companies may see all your violations and disqualify you for that reason.I know if I was a recruiter,I would think hard and long beore sending your application to safety for review. You better do some serious ### kissin if you want someone to give you a chance.I know all of what I said may be hard but this is trucking which means no room for crazy driving.I don't care if Werner started you out at 15 cpm, quit finding reasons why you don't wanna drive for them and take the #### job.Like I said beggers can't be choosers and if you wanna clear your mvr Werner is your only chance..Otherwise you'll still be sitting at your computer looking for a trucking job a yr from now.I drove or werner for 3 yrs.
I have a bad mvr and can't find other employment in trucking

Aslong as I can pay my child support keep the lights on at home and eat on the road it will be ok but if/when one or more of the three stop that will be a problem -
Buy a coleman cooler put yourself on a budget and hit up wal-mart it will work out fine..
superpet39 Thanks this. -
I was going to say something similar:
work ANY and ALL overtime possible at current job to build a nice "cushion" THEN, go to Werner , and he won't "feel" the significant loss in pay for that year at Warner (maybe 2- considering his record) -

Why do you think I haven't had a ticket in almost three years since I totaled my last vehicle I have been driving a jacked up 4x4 that gets 8 MPG if you are nice to it. Abuse it a bit and you can almost see the gas gauge move tow about 10k lbs with it and see just how bad the mileage gets 4 to 6 MPG depending on the load, weather and terrain I have gotten as bad as 3 mpg pulling a 15k lb tractor with a 2.5k lb trailer in some steep hills Before I changed my differential gears. To a 4.56 to 1 set now I have plenty of power to pull but havent been pulling anything so I have no clue about current mpg flat footed it's doing almost 10.

So apparently I needed to give it a little more time. Today I got pre hires from swift, roehl and covenant. I think I will go with swift. I haven't decided 100% yet but them fronting all the money for school and a motel is speaking to me right now. Although that's for a different thread I want more input. Thanks for reading guys and gals I will post what I decide when the decision is made.

UPDATE:
I decided to go to swifts school in millstone TN simply because they are not making me pay for it upfront out of pocket. I leave on Sunday on the lovely greyhound bus that takes 16 hours to make a 10 hour drive. Thanks everyone who commented or read this thread.
On a side note of all the people I applied with the only two who pulled my DAC were prime and swift. Prime is still considering seat belt tickets moving violations told me to to try again in July but I need a paycheck at some point. I retrieved a copy of my DAC so that I can have the same paperwork as the companies do in the event that anything is ever said. -
I hate to be the one to say this since it is looking positive for you...but make sure you have a back up plan for getting home. I'm not trying to be ugly but, trucking companies are NOTORIOUS for dragging you to orientation and then booting you out for some thing they should have already checked. Out on your arse so to speak. Just make sure you have a way to get home if that happens.
superpet39 and Leftlane101 Thank this.
