Never had a problem with them on slow pay or claims, although it's been a while since I've dealt with them (last Nov). I will say that I learned early to read their rate confirmations carefully. They snuck in pallets on one a while back and I didn't catch it till it was too late. Once burned and all that.

We haven't hauled much for them since their rates are on the low side, especially if you call them. For that reason, I pretty much don't call on their posted loads any more. The offers I've gotten here and there when they call on me usually don't work out (route) and are too low to consider. Not quite insulting, but low enough that I know I can do better somewhere else without thinking too hard.

Given your input, I'll double check their credit and give a second thought if the planets line up and they call me with a good offer I might want to haul.

Like I said earlier bigger the name lower life they are.
Look at this Landstar load they are offering from strong OH market to weak PA market approx 450 miles for $700d. Let me ask you if this what the rate is then why we are paying $5.00 for gallon of milk ( was that statement fraud that the milk price are going up because extremely high freight charges??) DAT is showing market hovering around $1300 for this lane today.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.

That's good compared to the rate on a run from Arrowhead trans. today. Pineville, NC. to Denver, CO. for $.64 / mi... they claim it's a "partial" at 20 thousand pounds exclusive use.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.

That's the starting point in the negotiation..... They're posting it, with that rate, and sure they're hoping to cover it somewhere close to what they've posted.... your job is to move the rate up to where you can run it.... you do that by calling them and talking about it..... that's how it works.

and just how was that market rate set??

My dispatcher calls them and kindly asks to remove the posts if she sees any low ball / cents per mile loads w/ exclusive use. Sometimes that's exactly what they have on the load but still ...

Why you guy's keep loosing money?????
You are dealing with people ( Brokers ) that are not really brokers they are just Schmucks
two-bit hustlers that steal loads from other companies ( Real Brokers ) Posted for Say $1000
And Re post the same load for $800
    :biggrin_2556: You Digg?
and you are helping them every time you call them and take their loads
EVERY TIME YOU FIND A CHEAP BROKER
    STEP 1
POINT your Cursor @ the load destination City for that load &{Right Click ) and add that broker to NO CALL LIST
    Then HIT Refresh
His Company Will TURN RED COLOR
The Next Time This Schmuck Posts a LOAD You will Remember This LOOSER
    STEP 2
NEVER USE YOUR PHONE TO CALL ANY BROKER
USE A Disposable phone for $10 from walmart
Make sure the phone ($10 PHONE) Has an area code from the mid west if you are Hauling a load from the midwest and the same go's for
a load from California or Florida
Always use the phone with an area code where the load is from or close to it
    WHY?
Because the brokers assume that their load will take you home ( Back Haul ) Fuel Money Loads:biggrin_25526: U DIGG??
    Step 3
NEVER NEVER NEVER....GIVE YOU MC DOT # TO the Broker Before you get a RATE on the Load
IF you do then they can check your company address from the dot site and find out WHAT CITY & STATE YOUR are Based out of
& IF THE LOAD GOES TO YOUR HOME TERMINAL Then guess What ??:biggrin_25510: You are offered a back haul Price:biggrin_25525: Ka peeeech
So RED TAG RED TAG THESE Schmucks
Or you will LOOSE YOUR ya know what?

    GOOD LUCK & Happy Trails:biggrin_25514:

You know something.. Try that *67 trick with the notorious "Chicago Central" CHR office and ask them if they know your phone number before giving them your T # ..... they have some way to reveal your phone number even if it is *67... ...does not work with those gangsters lol, yeah they are seriously gangsters, they're good at what they do and don't give money away..
