I've read with great interest every post everyone has been kind enough to write about Climate Express. It has helped me make the decision to join this company starting next week. Although I've been driving since 1999, I've been out of it about 1 1/2 yrs now and was looking for a reliable company to resume my career with. Thanks to each and every one of you who have taken the time to share your thoughts, insights and feelings/opinions. I've considered all posts carefully in reaching my decision. I am confident that I've been able to reach an informed decision and I look forward to the future. Thank you all, again. Best Wishes and good luck to all . . .

I had to pass on an offer from them since the pay would be too low. (.33mi)

I've been told that the starting pay depends on the amount of previous experience that they can verify for a particular driver. In my case, it is certainly more than .33 cpm, and with the extra .01 cpm thrown in after your 90 days are up, it was an offer I felt would work for me. Of course, every driver has to make that decision for themselves. I hope you were able to find something that would work for you and I wish you the best. Stay safe out there.

I'm on my way to Climate Express, so far everything I have seen about them has been positive, the recruiter Karen is up front and easy to work with, very concise of your needs, and for me that says a lot, I hope the company culture is the same throughout. I'm anxiously looking forward to this.

Good luck with Climate, but be careful of what you hear from them, especially if it comes from Karen. I was there for 5 months and left last October. If you run they way they "tell" you to, you'll get along with them. If you don't, they'll turn on you in a heart beat. If Jason is your dispatcher, you make $, if not, you'll starve. Good luck, and be careful out there.

I wouldn't bother with them, I left after six weeks, it's seniority based, and the guys that's been there years and years are the only ones making decent money, as a new driver you just won't, they base everything around Hershey and one Friday they gave me a 345 mile load that delivered Monday, and the load I was picking up on Monday was cancelled, they don't care about the driver especially new drivers, and they are basically a second chance hire anyone company because they can't keep drivers they just don't have the freight for you to make money, they totally sold me on the company because I lived in Denver, said I would get home every other week, never happend.
Before considering these people I would suggest Interstate Distributor Company, even John Christner Trucking, but I assure you with Climate express you will be lucky to get 1800 miles a week and with that low pay they have its not the place to go.
Like I said I left after 6 weeks, in 6 weeks I made less than 4 thousand dollars, and I'm just not going to be sitting in their truck for 600 a week before taxes. I believe me I am a runner, my new company I'm getting 3000+ miles a week, the first 3 weeks with my new company I made more than the whole time I was with Climate. When doing research ask the new drivers how they are doing, not the ones that's been there years and years because you won't be on the same level as them.
