Anyone have experience running a smaller tractor like a half size or any smaller rig and 25-30 ft trailer while using the online load boards to get jobs??
Basically an O/O but with a light duty set up??

It's really hard to do as there are not many LTL shipments out there but then there is always uship but you will find loads real cheap. Many transporters don't have DOT or MC# so they can underbid you and it takes a week or so to get a load. uship is a joke.

I know someone who did this for a little bit, and she did ok, not great, but enough to survive...so I guess you can make it if you want to merely survive.

Your problem with being able to only haul at that weight is every idiot with a pick up truck and trailer thinks they can make money at it. It will kill you in rates. It is just the down side of free market.
