Well I got the call back today, I am set for next week to head down to springmo for the June 4th orientation I am so nervous and excited to get back on the road again after so many years trying to make it as average joe, I know I am a driver its in my blood and the open road calls my name. Packed almost completely for my ride on the gray dog

My husband's recruiter is saying he would need to train with a trainer over the road 6-8 weeks. Is this pretty much the standard or can you train otr less time?

Silenteagle since this is my first post I can't PM yet so I had a question. I've been doing a ton of research on here and I've narrowed my choices to apply to go through company cdl training down to Prime and one other. I was filling out the app on Prime's site and saw a place for a referral from a current driver. I haven't talked to a recruiter, I just obtained most of my info from this forum, especially this thread, which I very much appreciate and want to say thank you to you and everyone who has posted on it. Because of this I'd like permission to use you as the company driver who pointed me in Prime's direction. I assume there is some kind of bonus for you that is the reason I am asking. PM me if you want. I am sure I can come up with a question or two as well by then, though it is hard to think of things not already asked.

if I go drive for prime pulling flatbed would I ever go out west an in during ur tnt training do u run as a team
-
I was talking to a flatbedder this morning who said that he had run a Texas -> California -> Oregon -> Washington trip several times, so yes, Prime flatbed does go out west. As for you, specifically, that's between you and your dispatcher. Prove to them that you are reliable and on time, and they will start pointing you in the directions you want to go.
And yes, you do run TnT as a team. Your trainer doesn't have to sit up front and babysit you once you have your CDL. If you have a different person duing TnT than you did for PSD, they may ride up front the first couple of days to be assured that you have some idea of what you are doing.Supertrucker15 Thanks this.
