I'm well aware of the sayings, I grew up with owner operators. I just find it funny that people still misconstrue speed with a large car. My last truck could do 98, so I guess I was rolling around in a large car lol. :biggrin_2556:

My truck does something over 90. I've never done more than that.

We used to hold the four wheelers back like that in the 55 mph days when we knew there was a speed cop waiting up ahead and then right before we get to the cop, left lane truck comes back over and we turn them four wheelers loose and usually at least one of them is PO'ed and gasses on it and ol' Smokey is there waiting with his hair dryer. Disco lights and Smokey's got a customer!

    hahah...:)

About 10 years ago I watched a largecar run interference like that (him and 2 other truckers coordinated it on the CB), blocking the left lane which was closed for construction ahead, and the pickup behind him was FURIOUS! He rode that pete's butt until the last second when the trucks up front opened a hole for the big rig to come over, and the pickup hit the cones and a corner of the amber sign as he tried to dart around the big rig in anger. 10 miles later the bears had the pickup pulled over and were stuffing him into the patrol car for DUII. Turns out the 4wheeler was so mad about it that he was waving a revolver out the window at the trucks and someone called the law on him. That's got to be one of the most irritating, selfish moves the 4wheelers do, is to peel off the line of vehicles and race up the closed lane to the cones then push their way back in causing a choke point, stopping the line of traffic behind them.

So many 4 wheelers carry guns now days you never know who will pull one on you.
If they wave one or point it at you that is "Brandishing" and they can go to jail for it.
The only problem is actually getting a Cop to get to them to pull them over.
Heck,I followed a drunk driver for miles a couple months ago with the state patrol on the phone and they never showed up!

I think most people think truckers are not allowed to carry a firearm...They are SO wrong!

In some states, it is illegal to be out in the passing lane for too long.

That's definitely the case in Michigan. Got a ticket in my normal car once when I was younger for just hanging out in that lane. It was the middle of the night and nobody else was on the highway with me so I was feeling free... Wiiiiiiide laaaanes

They gave my team partner a warning for that in Indiana.
