Unfortunately if there's a line there already from other seasoned drivers, they'll just give you an estimate of when one might be free. Also go up tithe front gate if its after hours and they may be able to hunt down an empty but it'll involve the "find an MT" game, Salt Lake City edition...

Well with any luck I won't see slc for another year. It worked for me on a Sunday afternoon, but just about any other time dispatch will hunt down an mt for me. The nice thing about Sunday is most people don't need an mt until tomorrow.

wait till you have to pick up at newleyweds warehouse on George st just around the corner from the one you guys have been to. It sucks you have to back in from a one way street that always has cars parked across from the docks. LoL. It really sucks if there's already trucks backed in 3 of the 4 docks.

There's something over there on a two way street where you get to back in between the lights changing from red to green. I feel really bad for people who go there that can't back real well.

I feel your pain. This last week my alley docking has been terrible. Hope it is just a phase!

I seemed to have a rough time backing my first few days back on the road. Even then my backs still perplex me. Delivered a load to cold storage warehouse in VA yesterday morning.

Had at least fifteen feet on either side of my dock door and really struggled to get the #### trailer between the lines. Fast forward to that afternoon and I put her right in the hole at a truck stop that was rapidly filling up. In a spot that was way way tighter than the one earlier.

Yeah, it gets so much easier. Its just how you deal with the challenges that define you, really. I know that sounds stupid but I was the same way.. shoot, even after a year in a w900, I still had problems backing up... just today I had problems.. lol. Once you get that click that happens.. you just know what way to turn the wheel or how to set up for that awkward blind side on a one way street with cars and trucks honkin at ya.
Just dont make the mistake Of leasing just so you can turn loads down.. thats a one way ticket to failure.. go back to jjs central page and follow mine and bootleggers oeasing adventure.. I got to big for my own pants and started turning stuff down.. ruined relationships with dms and made me go belly up.
