Gonna be about 2,000 for me this week, provided I can get loaded in the morning and make 2 drops and the final by Friday before the dealer in Bismark closes.

Edit: I just realized, I can probably deliver Saturday until noon...but if I do that I won't get weekend pay.

I am a short haul specialist, not by choice mind you. But that's all I've been doing for the past month or so. Here is how last week looked. MT / Loaded

    6/3 141/465
    6/4 104/403
    6/5 54/395
    6/6 112/262
    6/7 28/315

What saved me last week is the fact that I ran on Sunday with a load I picked up on Friday, sat on it for 36 then ran 600 miles Sunday. With all these short loads and the 14 hour clock shutting me down every day I thought I had a poor week.

I was surprised yesterday when I got my pay stub and found that I had 2,905 paid miles 5 tarps and gross of $1,374.00. On top of that I was home on Friday afternoon and didn't have to leave out until Monday morning. Short hauls are tough but you can still make the miles if you run smart. Also, I never ran above 60 MPH the whole week.

Getting a lot of the same this week, Tuesdays load was 149/198 trapped lumber no doubt. Oh well, that's truckin' bubba.

I think you are in the micro haul division. You make more stops in one day then most of us make in a week.

Unload, drive like 40-100 miles, reload, drive 36 miles for instance, unload, drive back 36 miles, reload again, then "race" (at 58mph) to get as far as I can before the 14 is up. Not ALL of my days are like this, but the hardest of my days are like this, and maybe 7-10 of these each month. Oh, and I get $10 for tarp pay too LOL! (We get $20 Load pay on top of it tho- don't want to mislead anyone) I like the days where I only have to unload, drive to reload, reload, and then drive 400 miles to con and get empty then go to bed.

We do our fair share on this account, that's for sure! Also, that $10 to tarp is about $10 more than I get! And I tarped 3 loads last week. Two were with lumber tarps and one was 2 coils I picked up at Nucor that only needed 1 canvas and 1 steel!
