Felony and RSO, is it possible to get hired in trucking?

I feel the same way now that my daughters are around that age.
This is a cultural thing though.
As I said research it and you will find that it is only in the last few generations that we have developed this idea that it is a no no.
Your ancestors a few generations ago all the way back to our origins believed differently.
My point being that lumping someone like this on to the same list as rapists , necrophiliacs and pedophiles is BS.

 

my guess is there are several posters that have not raised a 19 yr old boy nor a 15 yr old girl.. but do have opinions that are not very realistic..

If my 15 yr old decided to doing it with a boy I guess I would prefer a 19 yr old boy that could actually get a job and be responsiable as oppsosed to say a 15 yr old boy....

not that I would want my 15 yr old daughter doing it with either... I am actually very involved with my daughter and her whereabouts .. But I also can't keep her locked up in a room 24/7... But if folks don't think that these kids harmone's are going crazy at these age... and to stick a boy on a SO list for that is silly and wrong IMO- if it was consensual. in many case I'll bet the girl is the aggressor.

Campbell, OTR might be a no-go for you, but you can try something local, like gravel hauling or something like that where you are not running state to state, if its available. After a while, you can try interstate running. Driving a body job truck is a nice way to practice and money can be pretty decent with those outfits.

Everyone else, 15 years old is classified as a minor, 19 years old is an adult. It's called statutory rape. Consensual or not.

If my 17 year old daughter dated a 19 year old, I wouldnt like it but I could probably live with it. If she was 15....he'd be getting a visit from me and two uncles.

They been very strict on that account from what i been hearing good luck and i hope you never commit another crime like that im surprised you made thru the correctional department with out getting you butt kicked every 3 seconds.

I am by no means, a fan of RSO's but what the original poster got nailed for wasn't something he did out of malice or an overt show of power over someone such as an aggravated sexual assault. He just made a mistake involving a minor. Unfortunately the law sees it differently. Like yourself, I'd be happy putting someone who rapes women in the hospital for a good long time. Just have a pure hatred for guys like that.

To the OP you are gonna have a hard time getting hired. Drivers with felonies and DUIs are pariahs. Good luck dont believe a recruiter or driving school's "sure youre hirable!" until the job offer is extended and you accept it.

Girls lie about their age all the time. You should direct the anger to your daughter and not her date. After all, she's the one who is your offspring. If that 19-year-old you went after was my kid, I would come visit you.
