Internet seeking folks check out Easy Tether. Used to be one time $10 charge for unlimited but speeds are not 4g. I don't use it since I am grandfathered in unlimited 4g with VZ for $30/month. I kill them averaging 400gb/month. They have a hit man looking for me....

Same here. I let my students and everybody else that needs a hotspot connect when I'm around. Screw verizon they screw me every month so it's only fair. LoL. I usually average between 60 and 100gb every month myself.

yeah, but what you use is what you use. 4g just means it can be used faster. you still use the same bits. netflix may have a way to buffer better for the slower speeds but you still use the same bits. the movie is 2 gigs. regards 3g or 4g.

but like i said. i have 6 gigs every month. i can download 100 megs and be maxed out. when i only average 1/2 gig every month just on surfing. have to wait to get home to do my downloads.

Netflix does not have a one size fits all file. They can stream in 2000kbps hd or 320kbps lo-def depending on your connection speed (or somewhere in between). If you have a slower connection the overall size of the file will be smaller. This applies specifically to Netflix. YouTube does something similar but you can override for a smaller file if you so choose.

You are right but its all good. We can't all be computer geniuses, some of us "bottom feeders" just drive trucks and occasionally watch a movie. We need a forum for all the know it alls so the rest of us dummies can read their post and learn something. I don't give a crap either way I was grandfathered in with unlimited data with verizon and all things considered I can complain.

the smaller the file size. the lower the def. the poorer the quality of movie though.

i haven't heard anyone complain about the quality of the movie. so i'm assuming it's one size fits all. regardless of speed.

if your watching on 3g. and you say the file size is smaller. that means you lose quality. you can't have the same hi def quality if the size of the file is cut in half just to accomodate the slower speed.

if a hi def movie is 1 gig in size. but you have 3g connection so the file size is 1/2 gig. is it still the same hi def quality. the movie length is the same.

back in the old days. before music services came about. when you could download songs for free. there were big quality differences. depending on the size of the file. and the bit rates they were uploaded on. you could download a song twice. one file would be bigger then the other. the bigger file with the higher bitrate always had better sound quality then the littler file with smaller bitrate.

awww, they cut the size of the video. so instead of full screen. you get the middle half.

Ice train. how's that older trainee doing?

I know I'm.itching to get out of this truck. only at 90 hours though. dangnt. so anyways. Does anyone know of a way to influence what kind of truck you get when you upgrade? Can you just ask for a freightliner? My trainer said he could put in a word for me. wasn't sure if there was something else I could do too.

Hes doing ok, he's having some issues with his shift timing and proper gear selection based on engine and road speed. Other than that all is good. I will teach this old fart to drive if it kills me!! All the guys in training say no way, I've made it a personal challenge now..

Well went thru NC again on 40 through the curves, did much better, and felt A LOT more comfortable with them, took em at 50-55 in the posted 50. Also did an almost perfect alley dock today, only needed one small pull up. Also my floating down shifting is a lot better as well. Over all everythings going good. Is my 200 hours up yet? lol.
