1. Worth it to get a dash cam recording when you're driving?
2. Are sunglasses necessary? What are some good ones? Walmart? Truck stops? Online?
3. What do u think about those metal seat guides/cushions that are suppose to make u sit up straight while driving? What about those seat massagers?
dash cam, sunglasses, seat cushions

2. Don't think they're neccessary, but it really depends on how sensitive your eyes are to the Sunlight.
3. metal seat guide? never heard of it.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Metal/plastic.....you put it on ur seat and then u sit down with ur back against it, it is suppose to straighten out ur spine with back support. There are also seat massagers that massages ur back while driving. What do u guys think?

Yes, get some good sunglasses, otherwise you can get cataracts or other eye damage, especially to the left eye. Can even get cancer of the eye after years of driving. I had to get eye surgery on the left eye due to sun damage. That's due to sun coming in the drivers side window. I got used to driving with both sun visors down and pushed against the windshield, plus a spring loaded rollup window shade on the drivers side. The shade doesn't interfere with looking at the rearview mirror & I roll it up when crossing scales in case some jerk is on duty. Can get the window shades at Walmart, auto supply, truck stops.
c64basic and Balakov100 Thank this. -
sunglasses that are worthwhile are now referenced as "performance eyewear".go to a sunglass hut outlet store and buy polarized.you'll thank me in a later post.
NEVER buy cheap sunglasses.
i am reviewing dashcams each evening that i stop due to the incompetence that surrounds me daily.yes i will be investing in one-cetanediesel Thanks this. -
1. I think so. I have one. Cost was only about 40bucks. I see them selling for less than 20bucks now. Search for "car dvr" on Ebay.
2. Pretty sure that the glass window blocks +90% of harmful UV rays. Still... polarized shades are pretty nifty while driving.
3. I've seen them. I can't justify spending the price they usually want for them when most decent truck seats have ergo back adjustments. A simple pillow also works for me. -
Sunglasses? Wouldn't drive without them. Usually have a backup pair. Even more important in winter states where sun reflects off the snow and salt on your winshield.

Sunglasses are a must.

x#1 Thanks this. -
With all the feminine hygiene products on the roads these days, a dash cam is good to have.... protect yourself against the lane change/brake check rear ender, or if something completely unavoidable happens. Say, you're driving down the road and two grizzlies wrestling each other roll into the road in front of you. Who would believe that? Got it on cam. Get a memory card big enough to record all day and delete day if nothing important or worth saving happens
Raiderfanatic Thanks this.
