No, the first (2nd?) stop just put the 5 pallets aside and grabbed their stuff, then put the stop 2 pallets back on. I think the tsc dc loader got mixed up because the seal that was on the trailer matched the seal number on the bol corresponding to dispatch stop 1. Just the hand-written schedule on the folder had been changed to match the way the trailer was loaded (something I should have noticed).

Further evidence of a new guy doing the loading was the fact he put 6 pallets of those heavy horse stall rubber mats on the nose. Even with the tandems all the way forward my steers were over 12,000 (but oddly drives and tandems were both 30-31k & I've never wanted to move my fixed fifth wheel before).

Moriarty, NM -- 34hrs & 25 min until delivery appointment (not that I need it -- I still have 30hrs on my current 70)
Lisa's Truck Stop in Moriarty. Kills the TA there.

    Agreed -- that's where I spent my 34... I'd fuel there if I could -- 0% biodiesel

Got a relay heading to Salem via San Francisco -- assuming I can go directly home from Salem it'll be my first 8-day highlight (previous ones being 10 & 12 days). Gonna grab a few Z's -- will be switching to lunar-power tonight...

100 plus degrees in southern Arizona. Went to pick up mty trl. Kept blowing fuses on trailer lights.
Multiple trailers same thing, so must be truck.
Ok'd by road service. Found a no driver truck. Cannibalized pigtail.
    Sure enough worked.
Put good pigtail back on no driver truck.
Got a new pig tail for my truck.
At that point out of hours. Board this am.
Not the bbest week Miles weren't bad, just the days wait between each load.
Not quite enough dwell time to draw layover or get a 34 in this case.
A idle mind tends to wander.
And Az heat truck will idle.
Had frost warnings in northern Nevada a couple days ago. That was nice.
    Sure miss my apu.

Can I ask what has been everyone average amount of miles in the last month, just trying to figure afew things out, hubby has almost 30 hrs left but the most miles we're running is between 250-400 a day and average between 2100-2200 miles aweek, these past 2wks we've been making a huge circle Mo-IL-IN back to MO-IL-IN a few loads up in NE but always heading back to one of those 3 states IL and IN especially. Just was curious if it just us or if miles are just slow right now

Hi Conway ;) so my buddy still drives here and says his miles are low... Are rest of you having that issue?

I'm not exactly sure that things are slow.
Listen to daily power report, load count is up there in the 1200's. My take is 2 things.
    1. Length of haul is down. Short hauls like TSC might be profitable for the company, but obviously not for the driver.
    2. Dwell time. If you have 2 or 3 days on a 700 mile load, that loss of time for the drivet and revenue for the company is lost forever.
We are driven by sales, as long as sales numbers are up...well that's big biz.

It's funny, not really, but you know what I mean...
The company is doing random surveys and it is so elementary.
All drivers want is to drive, make decent miles, its how most of us are paid.
And to get home when we want home.
    Simple?
But if cant make the miles consistently every week, cant afford to go home.
The day they get away from this antiquated pay system of cents per mile, and go with something salary or hourly.
They will find a improvement in safety and retention.
