Exactly the reason I ended up with PTL. Old prior experience means nothing in this industry.

FR.Adam. I take it you were a company driver. Could you ballpark a average for a monthly wage? I am looking for a new company and there are just so many.
I understand if you don't give a wage. Most people like to keep things private. But thanks either way. :)

Hey All! I recently came out of PTLs orientation and I have to say that was a big joke! I found out that if you start orientation on Wednesday you may be heading out Thursday night with a load. All paperwork the first day (as usual) and the second day was just finishing it up. I was a lucky one and got a load right off the bat. I have been hard at it rolling all the time and have had very little wait time between loads. I was a refresher and left out with another like me. But he found out he couldn't hack it and quit after two weeks! Truth be known he never should have started in the first place. Anyway! IF someone who is starting over or just out of school this company so far is pretty decent. Today has been my first down day because of the lack of trailers.

Former Drivers and Trainees right out of school this is a place you should try out.

Bottom Line Do your job and they will work with you. GOOD LUCK

It all depends on you and your miles. .33 cpm is the average from what I hear but if you are starting out fresh then it will be .15 cpm till you get 6000 miles.

Fr. Adam: Tell me more about this printer/scanner. You scan your docs in and transmit them via your laptop email as attachments or do you upload them as pdf's to an internet service that faxes them for you?

This is an old question and maybe the poster isn't active anymore.

Transflo now has a very good app so if you have a smartphone, you merely set up your account for the company you work for, then take a picture of the bills and load sheet and it's done. I've been using it when I can't get to a PFJ Transflo machine and haven't had any problems.

This is the industry in a nutshell ain't it, lol?!? Hang in there. I've been thinking of getting back out there too with PTL.
