its a little more then that I was just rounding it off to make it a easy number so you can get the idea of what to expect they also deduct $50 per week for a deposit on the QUALCOMM but it technically still yours so I don't count that as a expense more of a savings if you ask me lol.. yeah I have a 2014 cascasdia the on guard sucks..

I use my phone as a hotspot instead paying extra for a mobile boardband im cheap lol.... I have a printer at home but so far I haven't seen a reason to bring on unless your gonna request a copy of the freight bill/invoice..i do plan on buying a mini scanner so I can just scan and upload my receipt and send them to atbs thru email and still have a copy of my receipt for myself

How do you turn in your bills? Transflo? Mail? Also how long are you staying out at a time? Would this program work for a guy that wants to get home every weekend or at least every other? With kids, a baby, and a fiancé at home I'm not doing that out for a month stuff. I've done that. Might as well walk in and say hi I'm the stranger staying here for a couple days. No family life at all.

you'll transflo your bills but if your in the northeast you can use tripac scanner at the t/a. im single so im out for awhile but like last week I took two days off to meet up with a ex lol. It will depend on where you stay and what loads you pick. but I would lean more towards no maybe every other weekend to many expenses to not be working unless you want small paychecks.a buddy of mines is home almost every weekend I don't know how he does it tho... you can run hard for 5 days and take 2 off but the only problem I see with that is trying to piece together short hauls a lot of the load pick up one day but wont deliver til the next unless you do long haul loads... ive been able to to 2 short haul that paided me a total of 780 and was able to pick up a 3rd that delivered the following morning but man that's a headache and a half lol

I figured that whenever my hours get tight, I'll just get a motel for a 34 hour restart and then keep on trucking.....my restart will be in a different city each time....

right i did the year lease in a old volvo and used my maintenance money on a 2012 volvo 780. or you can put 150 a week in your general funds and when your 1 year done you can go on the outside and get you a truck

Based on 2500 miles a week if you look at fuel mileage on a older truck (6 mpg average) vs a new truck (8 mpg average) your spending over $400 extra on fuel a week for the older truck. Not even counting idling if you don't have a apu and breakdowns. Seems like it would be cheaper and more business savvy to spend the money that your gonna be spending anyway on extra fuel and put it toward a new truck.

Are you positive you will average 8 mpg ?
    New trucks need def.
New trucks have higher insurance costs.
New trucks sometimes go to the shop ( downtime ).

I worked for a big fleet that had new/newer trucks governed at 62mph and electric apu's. The fleet average was 6.3 mpg.

If all new trucks averaged 8mpg and where as reliable as the older trucks we would all be driving new ones. Hell my 05 W9 with a 640hp cat runs high sixes to low sevens consistantly at 65mph, and is the most reliable truck that I have ever driven.
