    Lvl 1 is a level 1 inspection.

When you first start driving with them you keep paper logs and you are on elogs as well. The reason for this is you don't have any history on the elogs so you have to have the paper logs until you have learned how to do it correctly and you have enough time built up on them, nothing illegal about it because they should match.

I'm not defending the company because they are all about the bean counters and keyboard pushers, and they don't have enough sense to realize by themselves they don't make the company any money at all, it's the DRIVERS who make the cash flow.

Illegal location does not make sense. A driver is ultimately responsible for the route you take, that's what maps are for. If you have trouble delivering to a customer that is to tight to get into, all you have to do is notify your F/M and they will send it via LTL.

As for log's, you are only on log book and qualcom at the same time for about 2 weeks for training purposes. You have to be familiar with log books in the event the qualcom goes out.

A driver is only responsible for highway routes..but not Inner city laws..hows a Driver supposed to know the laws of every single town? and by the way...read your DOT handbook for a change. and you cant match logs on a fifteen increment(which is paper) vs. minute by minute logs which is your elogs..According to DOT regulations this is considered Double logging..and apparently the guys who like to talk how great this company is...Are apparently recruiters for them..Which goes on a lot in here as well..But to each is their own...I just know that this company bean counters and they treat their drivers like numbers instead of people...A real Driver Manager or company for that matter will treat you like a human being.

I mean its pretty sad that theres a couple of guys on here who attack my past history with the company and laugh about it....I mean I guess I should expect that from a Couple of Desperate Recruiters from Transport America...

lol funny, go to a bigger company and see how your treated. TA treated me like a person and if had problems with your FM you should of want to his boss or call someone higher then that.

Transport America not considered a Big Company?!!! Oh don't make me laugh so hard...Lets See, they have over 10 terminals and 8 full service centers..and they consistently hire every single week at those terminals...and there are a lot of trucks sitting at those terminals..now if that don't tell you about their credentials on having trucks sit..I don't know what will...Their turnover employment rate is extremely high..Their Driver managers are based on college educated people that have no idea about driving a truck...they rob their drivers pay, and if you really want to get down to a dirty little punch of saying I needed to call a higher up..Its the higher ups that's training those bean counters at Eagan Mn. I will never, in a million years go back to work for that big of a company..simply because they buy freight from guys like US xpress, Schneider, Swift....etc...They handle crap freight, Freight that they fully well know that the driver cant put a 53 foot long trailer into..and they are not based and founded by Truck Drivers just big highly educated con artists...and the reason why they give their drivers crap freight is simply because its cheap and the drivers are expendable..Whats the first thing your Driver manager asks you when you get on the phone with him or her? Whats your Truck number? They don't care about your voice or who you are...Now, My driver manager Ive got now? Calls me at home and asks how im doing, and asks me when Im ready to roll...Asks about my kids, Asks about my wife...I mean for a Guy who never got into a Truck...Really has defended me on every single thing when things get a little off...Personally and Business..Thats not just a job, That's a career..unlike Transport America which gives you only a Bad Experience..and its pretty sad that they'll use a website like this to try to get more young inexperienced Drivers...My suggestion to the Inexperienced guys out there..Do your research and get yourself at least one years worth of experience..and then you will see a brighter and better side with a company that will treat you right..find one that will definitely treat you like family..
