More than likely. No way would a bottom feeder company tolerate a driver standing up for themselves.

Bottom feeder company? You definitely don't know anything about Crete.

Oh I know enough. Kind of funny reading the nice glossy ads, multiple bill boards, and trailer ads promising the world then to come here and read the complete opposite. So you stay out for 21 days, huh? By choice or necessity?

Actually, I stay out for more than 21 days, but not because I have to, but instead because I want to. Moreover, there's not too many companies that pay better than Crete. Can you name one?

Might be nice to know what they pay, as that info seems to be missing from their website.

But Poly Trucking pays .48 per HUB MILE. Pacific Shipping pays up to .45, and if LTL counts, my company pays .59.

    Next question?

No I really don't pay attention to entry level companies and what they pay "per mile" I was inquiring about the length you stayed out because if you stayed out that long because you had too then that would be good info for someone to know. Some drivers are only interested in working during the week and going home on the weekends and don't feel like a pay cut is required to do that.

That's obvious, but nevertheless while Crete does train student drivers, they are very selective and only take students from a few very highly qualified schools. Their training program is also much better than other training companies' programs, and when the students successfully test out and go solo, Crete doesn't start them at just 25 cents a mile like other training companies. Instead, Crete starts them at 34 cents a mile. Then when they complete their one-year internship, they go up to 41 cents a mile, compared to just 30 cents a mile at other training companies. Indeed, Crete is one of the highest paying truck companies in the industry and can hardly be considered a bottom feeder. It also has one of the best safety records in the industry as well.

You haven't been driving long enough to know how good Crete used to be...they were one of the top co's drivers wanted to drive for...since tonn ostergard the son in law took over, he has done everything in his power to sink Crete...

Man...that's a narrow minded statement if I ever heard one. Of course, when Crete was a much smaller company it was a very good company to work for. However, when you grow as big and as fast as Crete has over the past few years, there are going to be some sacrifices that necessarily have to be made. You can blame it all on Tonn Ostegard if you like, but it is really due to the fact that they are a much bigger company now. Nonetheless, it's trucking. You got to take the good with the bad. Thus, if I'm going to have to take the good with the bad no matter where it is I'm at, I may as well work for one of the highest paying companies in the industry, and Crete is one of the highest paying companies in the industry. Moreover, overall it also treats its drivers a little better.
