He can buy police flashers for his truck there....they sell them to the public! lol Does your student have a laptop gps? Well...just finished up Cartersville run! LONG run! Best thing about this is there's a nice Taco Bell at the end calling my name! Now waiting on preplan...dunno how this will work...running on recaps kinda blows....hopefully I'll get home before sunday! I have hours coming back tonite and tomorrow night...after that....I'm DOOMED! lol

 

well..good thing about Lowe's runs...you get free internet! YEAY! lol Bad thing is...DM is out and the guy we have has been giving me NOTHING BUT NIGHT RUNS! Had to turn down a few loads(my first!) because they picked up at 2200! Sorry I don't run all night....did that last summer and almost fell asleep...NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN! I'll get up at Midnight and run....but I just cannot, for the love of God sleep, during the day! I was nice and ran a Lowe's run last night.....but I'm really running out of hours(recaps all week!) and need to get a restart in! Why is it that when the end of July rolls around I'm being made to run nights......I just can't sleep! ugh!

I've only been home 3 days in the last 30, had 3 preplans that would have gotten me home cancelled and put on loads going in the other direction and once again on Friday i'm heading another 400 in the wrong direction with hours running out again.

I really hate to be right about things sometimes. I really do. especially when it's something I didn't want to be right about.

 

I know what your talking about....temp DM gave me a good run...but I didn't have the hours to do it! I saw you at Pitman on Monday! I rolled in around 0900 Monday morning, I'm sure you were asleep! haha My last night run...and it's going to Greensboro....thinking I can get some shuteye while they load me!

funny...I know sdaniels is( correct me if I'm wrong, here) 21063...I'm 21061...I've seen 21031 on the yard....what did they do?!?!?! I ran into a guy, REALLY GREAT GUY TOO, Friday night that had 21012(take out the 0 and it's RUSH ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!! hhahahahaa). He has Keith Watts for his DM and NEVER gets home on the weekends anymore! Said, most of the guys on his board, from what he says, gets home during the week.

 

Or maybe every two weeks for a day. Or less than a 34 when you do get in. He's my DM too. Used to be real good about getting us in on time and for something that actually resembled time at home while still knocking down some #### good miles. Now I have to poke him in the side around Thursday and remind him I've been out 2 weeks and now might be a good time to get home. Last time I was in and saw him I said something about only having been home one day in the last 20 at that time. He acted like it was no big deal. Well, yeah it is. If you put yourself out there as a home weekly company then that's what should happen. It used to. Not anymore. Not sure how much longer that's going to work for me. I'm out longer, home less, and turning less miles. Things had already started going off the rails this year but the new HOS kinda sealed the deal. It's not the same company that hired me that's for sure.

Hell I had to bring the wife out with me this week just so we wouldn't forget what each other looks like. She's really getting the picture of why I'm starting to go a little more gray with the 30 min break, no real change in planning, and the more and more often recap instead of reset. Pulled the brakes with only 2 minutes left today and really cutting it close for the appointment tomorrow. Getting to be a daily thing now

 

like Dumb and Dumber.....they like the younger one's! There's a chance for me still! sdaniels will get that inside joke!

 

well...once again...got out of the shop this morning....get 3/4 of the way to Danville...now turning back around to go back and put truck in shop again! Looks like I'll be out all this weekend and coming up week! I'm actually getting sick of being home this week....other than the "adult fun" with the Mrs.! lol
