Think like this. To get a free shower you have to purchase 50 gallons, that 50 gallons today is like $180.00 or more. So $12 seems to b a steal.

This has been my contention for a long time now. I'm tired of working my tail off to make other people rich while I struggle to pay my rent and feed myself. I'm not hurting by any means but it wouldn't hurt to be paid more was the point... or anyone for that matter.

 

Yeah showers weren't $7 2 years ago at TA. That's a stretch. They were $10 three years ago when I got back into OTR. And went to $12 then $13. Loves might still have $9 showers but they are worse than TA.

 

Just another reason I only run local nowadays... And I have to say, the TA in jersey on I80 (think its columbia) is the absolute worst I've been to. (Except Richmond)

 

if you think t/a are bad, you should have seen the old skelley truck stops back in the 60s and 70s.

 

We had one in our area. Now a Road Ranger.

TA's are all individually owned franchises. Owners are free to keep cleanliness standards of their own. They probably have guidelines and random checks but its not like Loves and Pilots which are all corporate owned and kept on a tighter leash.

 

Majority of TAs are corporate owned

 

Some Pilots are not much better and they over charge you as well I do gotta say those Iron Skillets or its twins they use are out right disgusting I ate at a few and all where horriable specially the buffet.

I gave it a chance a number of times I no longer eat at any of them maybe im just picky but I just find mod t there food bad
