Stevens Transport, Millis Transfer, Roehl, Prime... there's a bunch out there, but I know folks have had decent experiences with those listed.

there are no good company plans they all pay for your school so they can have their way with you !!! you will be like a collage girl on spring break and they are going to roofy you up and screw you six ways till sunday and tell everyone that know that they did it !!!!

the first lesson in trucking is they don't kiss you because they love you ........ they kiss you because they are going to screw you !!!!

And if your lucky and press hard enough, you may be able to get a Workforce Investment Act grant. Take a little time though.

Chances are with company training you'll be under contract. Know what it is and understand it. Good Luck.

Be careful... A lot of these companies have no problem with your foot getting through the door but will not hesitate to let it hit your ### on the way out

Coming from a noob, what do you mean by that?

Do you mean they will fire you without warning or that if you quit on them, they will take you for everything you're worth?

so you want your cdl. are you sure trucking is what you want to do? the working condition are poor. the wages are poor. if you get into it. and figure out that you don't like it. your are pretty much stuck. you'll feel like your stuck in a black hole. employers in other job markets don't hire extruckers. some good advice. go get 2 8 hour jobs. your financially better off.

Where are you located? Millis I believe is $500.00 up front and the rest is financed and if you work a year there it's paid for. You will have to have some money in your pocket for day to day expenses and for the costa of the license etc. in most if not all cases.

    Good Luck
