but when getting insurance for the first time it is generally better to do a payment plan, you never know if you and the agent and or underwriter might not get along.. much easier to switch when you don't have a chunk of money tied up. -
Your credit rating should have nothing to do with your insurance rates. I know some insurance companies regularly use credit as an excuse to hit those with a few dings with a higher rate, but it is wrong. Besides, many people with impeccable credit have taken a hard hit with the recession who had never had bad credit before. There can also be reasons such as health which can come out of nowhere to harm people's credit. It is much too easy for anyone who wants to see your credit to gain access. I think that is a contributing factor to some of the identity theft going on. In any case, the only things which should affect your insurance rates are your mvr and whether you have had recent claims. There is also no reason why insurance companies should not bill monthly, regardless of your credit rating. If you don't pay the premiums they simply cancel your policy. You pay monthly in advance, anyway.

You should not pay more than 5-7% interest for financing your commercial insurance. Some may offer a discount if you allow them to schedule monthly payments through a checking account. If you can afford to pay annually for the year, it may be worth it for some, but for the low interest it is easier to budget paying monthly. Plus, you may not have enough money to lay out all that cash for the entire year.

Apparently the trucking industry is taking a bad turn as far as ins goes, and a lot of ins co's don't want to write it anymore,so they are flooded with calls. So I had to take the day off to get ahold of them, but it's done and they are saving me a bit more from the co I was with...So alls good in the neighborhood.
So if you find yourself needing an ins co that you CAN do monthly, they are there.truckon Thanks this.
