Date on the picture is just a screwup , I have pictures with last years / next years dates on them at times. Thing is according to his post the wreck happened 1 week ago ( Aug 22 / 23 , 2013 ) , the truck was posted on the salvage site on Aug 23, 2013.
Now if it is his truck ( specs match what he posted , in service date, mileage ) he has the fastest INSURANCE adjusters in the world. Truck towed aprox 450 miles from accident scene , cleared to be sold and posted all on the same day as the accident. -
[fivaga E=TULY007;3506795]Bad luck ORAM....let us know what was wrong.....
Btw....did u changed the first factory filled engine oil, as i heard is recomended on new engines.....i may change it myself wirh valvoline blue 15w-40.....cummins brocure said 45k miles on it...found it at meijers michigan at 13.99/ gal....tnx[/QUOTE]
Nothing to do with bad luck, rather with bad assembly job. The line was not tightened to the brake valve. A new pressure ring and a half hour of labor solved the problem. And Kenworth wanted me to wait five days for it!!! This is not a warranty service, this is a big-big BS!!! I am wondering if Cummings warranty work this way too, because in that case no way I will purchase the extended warranty.
I had my first service at 15500 miles, and I had changed the engine, transmission and axle oils too. At 31000 I had changed the engine oil again and switched to Delvac 10 W30 syneblend oil. From there I will have changed at every 31000 miles if the oil sample come back good. I just sent in one at half time. I will have the sample at change again, to see how is that working at the and of the cycle. For the transmission and the axles I will have a change once again after 62000 and after that at every 500000. -
From reading the problems that have been posted on here I am glad I cancelled the 3 I had on order and picked up 3 CASCADIAS instead , as of today no downtime other than routine service.

One of the local companies, a so-called premier company with all Petes, is now buying KWs, and guess what? they are still having problems, new trucks under recall. They do bulk and are buying MX engines because of weight.

Oram I have had my share of KW problems as well , from W900L , T600 , T660, T400 , K100 along with flawless performance from the same models .
I am surprised with these 3 CASCADIAS as it was a rush deal to get 3 trucks , they were ordered by another outfit and cancelled and other than being WHITE not Metalic Blue they were what I would have spec'd. -
I just hope, once the bugs will be worked out, it will be fine. Other ways I like it. Time will tell.
