my son has his 5th birthday on Tues. I requested Mon and Tues off.....this way if I get home Mon...I should be good! Passed by a Prime guy today and that Sammy Hagar song was playing.....just changed the words to: I..only..drive................55!!!!!!!!!!!! lol The crap I come up with!

geez you guys are talking about 5 year olds and 2 of my grandkids are older than that lol appreciate that guys....way to make a guy feel old. you really gotta enjoy them now because I can promise you you'll be a grandparent before you even realize it happened lol

even worse than getting passed by prime is to have another epes blow your doors off lol.....heading down past Ormond beach Monday night I had one of the old columbias walk away and leave me. got on the radio and just said ###### driver must be nice to have a fast epes truck.......and a girl started laughing at me. said she was an owner op and was dealing with some more of that wonderful planning. had to be in ft pierce to drop, almost out of time and her next load had already been planned to live load 3hrs before she got her hours back. said she normally drove a lot slower than that but was having to blow her profit out the stack on that one just to try and get the next one picked up.

saw a guy that lost a boat off the trailer coming back up 95 in Georgia this week.......don't see that every day lol.....that could have tied up traffic for a long time but marks on the pavement showed the boat came off the trailer and followed him onto the shoulder lol slid in behind him perfectly straight behind the trailer

in for a decent weekend 2 weekends in a row but heading out Monday going up to Windsor, conneticut. been a couple weeks since I've been up that far but honestly I've had my fill of florida for awhile and stressing over my clock with the way those loads out of Miami are planned.

figured since we were talking about d/h percentages not too long ago i'd bring the notebook home and crunch the numbers and get some real numbers and not just guesstimates:

June....... 61% drop 39% live
July........ 35% drop 65% live
August...,,34% drop 66% live

average for the 3 month period is 43% d/h 57% live so my guesstimate of at or less than 50% was right on the money.

got a student in orientation next week so he'll be on the truck week after. short timer only going to have him 2 weeks. guess they figure they'll break me in easy lol

now if I can just get this long list of stuff done the wife has for me to do today then i'll get a whole day to myself to be laxy. think I might go flying. been itching to get in the plane for a couple weeks now and haven't been able to

 

well week one with TSE/Epes is in the book. def a learning curve going on here, which is to be expected when you make a change to any company i guess. adding up the miles was right at 2300 +/- which is somewhat my fault for being that low. getting used to computer logs again is proving to be more of a pain in the butt than i had thought, and that def hurt me on some of the short runs i had. but feel that once i get a better hold on that ever running clock i'll be able to turn and burn on some of these quicker.

wasn't scheduled to be home for a reset till next week, but seeing as nobody is really rcving anything till Tuesday, brought this load home and will drop it sometime tomorrow and hope for grabbing something to get me rolling Sunday night/Monday. Didn't make it East yet, but seeing as i'll be in Houston tomorrow maybe it'll happen then who knows.

4 days into my time here i had my first level two, 45 south headed from Ft. Worth to Houston, passed it and got the $50 for it so guess that's cool. always nice to get a little bonus now and again.

so I moved into a new truck today...I'm now 24245! Now I hafta go back up to the yard and move some crap I forgot about! haha Guess I'll do that tomorrow! Gotta 3 day weekend ahead, so no complaints...other than right over 2000 for the week. One thing I am mad about is I didn't get a Magtec, and was told I would get one....even though it IS a brand, spanking new truck.....my lanes will NEVER change now. "Supposedly" I was told I'm going to TX. Well, we'll see how "that" turns out.....probably 95 north of Richmond is my TX.....any more loads on that road and I'm turning it down! the past 2-3 weeks have been nothing but up and down THROUGH DC/Baltimore...give that stuff to the trainees, WHO NEED IT! GIMME SOMETHING ELSE!

 

did ya ask if they wanted a "stool sample"? haha talk to your DM...if you turn in your "passed" level 1, you should get $50-75!
ps.....now you know why I keep doughnuts in my truck?

 

same to your little guy.....mine's on Tues. I have been passed by a FEW...and I mean FEW Prime before....95% just drive 55!
